Front yard not the best choice for planting, and no fence, animal will always come for bother your vege,I prefer plant back yard, but, whatever, your guys did awesome job
This reminds me . There was a British sitcom comedy in the 1970s called the good life. A couple turns over their garden to growing vegetables, animals etc and hence to be more self sufficient.
I have done the same thing. My backyard is heavily forested. Only place to do our garden was the front. Luckily no HOA in my subdivision! Only thing we did different is we added a picket fence all the way around. It has worked out great!
I think the future is growing indoors, vertical stacked using modern grow lights. Uses far less resources, can be done year-round, a lot less problems.
Problems with outside growing: Drought, flooding, too hot, too cold, too little sun, too much sun, wind, disease, pests and wildlife damaging + eating the produce.
The final straw was I had a young child come up to me and have the nerve to tell me my apples tasted great, they made a pie with them… 😤
Oh and mosquitoes biting the crap out of me while working in >100° hot sun trying to keep the plants hydrated and clear of weeds. Never again!!
What about curb appeal. Do you think your neighbors would feel it brings there property value down? Wouldn't fruit trees be a better option for the front yard!
I also have want a to make a small home garden please, guide me about the soil type and that white powder you used and I mean how should I make a healthy soil?

What did you put in on the two outside beds that are long? I would have put in raspberries or small growing edible shrubs of some sort (blueberries).
how do you get those woods? Do you have to buy them?
