Small tropical garden design – Spring update 🌴

My small garden space has once again been transformed! Still packed full of exotic and tropical plants, my humble garden continues to evolve on its journey to becoming a lush tropical paradise.

The past year has seen the additions of a devilishly destructive dog and a rapidly growing plant sales business operating out of my new 8×6 foot greenhouse. Inevitably changes were afoot!

Now with the majority of my botanical beauties growing in pots I have bust open the doors of possibility. I can grow any exotic or tropical plant I want, not just the tropical plants that will thrive in my heavy clay soil. This doesn’t just help me, oh no, it means that you can take inspiration from my tropical garden and grow the same plants on your patch of paradise no matter how big or small it may be!

  1. What is the plant at 06:29. Your garden looks amazing especially for this time of year. Keep up the good work 🌺🌴🌞

  2. Looking forward to more videos on the evolution of your paradise garden! I also have a small container garden and a passion for tropical plants – living in NE Scotland, my choices are a bit more limited but at least my indoor jungle is thriving 🌞

  3. Can’t agree more about the sound of a garden. The sound of the waterfall, knock of wooden wind chime and the wind through the bamboo. All adds character… until my dog comes along and ruins the tranquility. Four legged friends have a lot to answer for given their impact on the tropical style gardening!

  4. I’ve already got so much inspiration for my small mostly shady container garden from watching your previous videos, and am sure I shall get even more ideas from future videos now. Your garden is looking great! Also just want to say that my order from Grow Paradise arrived safely – packaging absolutely spot on and the plants are perfect – will be recommending to anyone who will listen!

  5. Any chance you would be willing to give inputs on other peoples garden? Like what is missing to get it as lush and pretty as you have yours? 😉

  6. That water bowl looks great. We're using a dark grey for the fence and mango colour for the shed. Hopefully the plants should pop against both of those

  7. your garden is looking good i'v got two plants ordered from you Colocasia Blue Hawaii and Spotty Dotty can't wait

  8. I think you’re spot on with Terracotta pots! Over the years, I have bought infinitely-many pots for my garden, and if there’s no uniformity it starts to get a bit hodgepodge. I’ve started to slowly swap out my pots for things that are a bit nicer and consistent throughout….. and then when you have a few prominent feature plants, you can put them in larger, grander pots to really make them a focal point.

  9. I have a floating oxygenator in the pond and it’s brilliant, going to fill the big pond in and put a small nature and pebble pond in with a solar fountain because I am so impressed with it, your little paradise patch looks brilliant

  10. Soooo miss your wonderful little stream Craig but I do understand why you did it. I expect the new path will gradually disappear over time as your plant collection expands onto it … Really pleased that your new venture is going well for you and I do love the music at the end of the video. I think you should use it at the beginning of your videos as well with your Grow Paradise logo as the intro for your channel. As soon as I hear it I start to relax. Really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work!
