I've gardened in the past but where I live now is clay and rock. I have one tote and chair set up this far, I'm 70 and am excited to see what happens. I ordered a few fall seeds and they sent free Komatsuna never heard of it, it's Japanese spinach mustard. New adventures. It's helping me crawl out of this pandemic hole .wish I had seen you sooner but today is a new day.
Hi, I'm so sorry but was that a residential phone? Lol my teenager wouldn't have recognized that sound. Lol
Wow! I'm sooo jealous of that awesome harvest!!! They seem so delicious 😍 and so many watermelons! In totes!! That's so great!!!Well done again Robbie 👏👏👏 I will definitely grow them this way last summer!
Thanks Robbie and Gary, it looks delicious. I prefer fruit with seeds too. I haven't harvested my sugar baby yet, still waiting for it to finish. My chickens LOVE the leftover rinds.
OH BEAUTIFUL. YUMMY 😋 😋 😋 SO HAPPY FOR YOU ROBBIE AND GARY. YALL WORK SO HARD.
Hi Robbie 👋. I love getting these videos. Have a great night 🌙 😘
Omgoodness! My mouth is watering, craving watermelon now. I found some Sugar baby watermelon seeds the other day. I can't wait until spring to plant them. Thank you for sharing this moment with us!
🌺 yumm I’m going to grow watermelon 😁
Thanks ❤️ Great Video !
I've had 2 successful container/hammock watermelons! They are very small but so delicious!
Nice looking watermelon, Robbie! Surly Kitty approved…that was a very happy tail wag.😄
I grow mine in totes and large pots…this year I pruned for the first time and it seemed to give me bigger fruit. I grow a lot of plants…secession planting.😃
My chickens love watermelon.
Our dogs love watermelon too and it’s so cute you hear them go crunch crunch crunch!
Enjoy the Fruits of your Labor.🥰😋🤤🍉🍉🍉 They look delicious . And worth waiting for.
Thanks for sharing your logic on the process and trimming the vine.
Yummy! The rodents got all mine way before they were ripe. Last year, I tried leaving a ripe watermelon I grew outside, but it was so hot that it cooked. Needless to say, it didn't taste very good. 😂😂😂
There is a way to cut up a watermelon to remove the seeds. There is a pattern to it, believe it or not. And you don't have to cut it paper thin. 😄
That looks so yummy!!
I hope I remember that next year😁 I did get 3 nice ones, sugar baby as well. That is enough for us. We ate half of the first, not bad.
Are you saving the seeds?
I'm so excited you got some watermelon, I'm sure it taste amazing.
The watermelon 🍉 look delicious. I tried to grow watermelon when I was a little girl, but the ants ate the little plants. Maybe I'll try again, with your help.
I harvested my sugar baby watermelons, 2 plants per pot, they were so full of seeds that we couldn't eat them even tho they were ripe red inside. I was so disappointed. But our drought in Utah made all my crops small and few. I am grateful for a forth tomatoes, they produced about a forth as many as in usual years and much smaller fruits. But at least we got some to can.
Robbie it's me 🎵4:05
Yummy! Looks delicious! Glad you all got to enjoy it!😊👍
thank you for showing the harvest. It looks so sweet. Do you think those seeds would grow for next season, if you saved them?
Robbie? are we doing a live stream on Sept. 10th, it's full moon night and I heard all the W. E. I. R. D. O. S will be out. 🤪LOL.
Did you save the seeds in the melon?
Hi Robbie and Gary glad your watermelon 🍉 was delicious ✨💚
Looks so good – yummy.
Your rainbow garden is so pretty I just love it – and you : )
It looks so yummy and my dogs love watermelon too! I didn’t plant any watermelon this year, because I’m in the process of moving and my garden at my old house is being neglected. I knew I wouldn’t be home enough to water things like watermelon. I do have big plans for next year’s garden at my new house. I will get everything set up this fall and it will be all ready to go in the spring.
I loved the seeded watermelons we would buy (for 5 cents a pound!) in the 60s/70s. Mom would always look for the bee sting. That just doesn’t happen with watermelons in stores these days. The seeded watermelons DO taste better. Waiting for my first Sugar Baby to ripen.
I’ve never had much luck with growing watermelons in containers before, but after seeing and hearing your process, I’m going to try again next year.
So much fun to watch you enjoy the fruits of your labor! 🍉
Thank Robbie and Gary I learn thank you please put te channel of you daughter I like see
Ok thank you Robbie. I started my seeds in a self watering container and had 4 fruit on the vine. Three of them didn't grow and turned yellow. Only one is growing. Thanks for letting me know I should only allow a short vine and one fruit on each plant.
Bon appetit
me being 49 im used to people like you! (outgoing full of energy and zest for life) i am so glad youtube recommended something good for once!
I love how you always give Kitty treats from the garden!!🥰
I'm in western Washington zone 8b, this summer was my first trial of growing melon. I chose Lambkin because it's small and has a shorter season. I have 3 melons growing !! Hoping the plant makes it until they are ripe.
I’m still waiting for my sugar babies to produce fruit. Plant is growing nicely. Not all my seeds sprouted. I use the water bottle and paper towel method. I only have one planted successfully, the others didn’t produce a root. I had no idea that not all seeds will produce roots. Thank you for that bit of information. I tried regular watermelon but no roots are forming. I have plenty of seeds so I’ll keep trying. I also have 2 cantaloupe planted. The third seed produced no root. I have learned SO MUCH from you and owe my success to YOU. I feel blessed to have you and ALL of the education you provide. You rock! I can’t see broccoli and NOT think of Kitty. I talk about you and Gary all the time. You two are a power couple. Looks like Gary enjoyed the sugar baby. Oh wow I didn’t know that watermelon is good for your dog. I have a teacup Yorkie. Both of you, have an amazing day.🤗🍉
Can't get them to develop in the northwest. So we are now ready for next year seeing this video.
Nice👍👏😊
Yummy!
Hello Robbie…. (Not able to locate the watermelonstem cutting video) Sooas Please do a video on/of where exactly you've cut the watermelon stem
❤️&Tytyty Robbie and Gary❣️
Cool! I have 2 sugar baby in a 20gallon grow bag. The one seed took off immediately, and I've got 2 watermelon with a few little ones too on there, and out of nowhere that other seed I thought that wasn't viable sprouted out of nowhere lol 😆 it sprout about 2 inches from the big one lol. The seed must of moved during watering a few months ago lol and decided it was time to sprout lol. I've got a grow bag 10gallon bag with 1 cantaloupe seed I planted on each side. Both took off ,one has 2 big cantaloupe on it with many more little ones.. The other several medium ones. And many little ones. Anyways I haven't seen u ever mention cantaloupe. Do u like those or have u tried growing them yet? They super easy just like the sugar baby. Love ur vids!!
Oh I have to add,I put ur pitcher in my sugar baby bag, and a pitcher in my cantaloupe bag!! Loooove ur ideas. I also put a pitcher in each of my corns. I have 8 stocks in one 18 gallon bin. And 12 stalks in 20 gallon grow bag. Each one has a pitcher in place. The corn took off and I got corn husks . So exciting!
