Front Yard Garden

Front Yard Landscaping Project on a Budget

I recently redesigned my front yard landscape. I did not go into the project with a set budget in mind but I was able to finish the project for around $300. Now that price could easily go up if you were to install a border or larger plants. I purposely chose discounted plants such as the knockout roses I got for $3 each. I also chose 1 gallon plants in some cases instead of the more expensive 3 gallon options. Overall, I was happy with how the project turned out. I just want to finish it with some seasonal color.

  1. Jason is there any way I could get in touch I am 16 and started up my business a year ago just looking to get some more tips thanks. Love what your doing with the channel.

  2. What a good beginning! Rosemary is super tough and easy to grow (at least here in N.California), and has pale blue flowers that bees love. You've got such nice space in front of the house; a group of fruit trees would be lovely and provide you with free fruit during the year. And don't worry about "too many" roses – no such thing! Keep adding them as you find them on sale (or root up cuttings) and in 10 years you will have the most gorgeous garden in the neighborhood.

  3. plants should not be more than 50 bucks
    mulch is free
    design is copied and free
i hate that pricetag 300? are you kidding me?

  4. Jason, thanks for the video. Layout looks good. Nice trick using the garden hose as an outline for the beds. Also, great score on the just marked down knockout roses! Plus, you're totally right about saving money by buying 1 gal instead of 3 gallon plants. I got super lucky and found the 54! dwarf youpon hollies in 1 gal containers for about $4 a piece! I got a plan from a landscape architect I hired, then I found all the material and put the yard in myself. THanks again. – Christopher P.S. 5. I thought fountain grass was a good fit – until it started taking over my yard! It reseeds itself and lands “everywhere “… so beware , cause this stuff is hard to kill when it lands where you don’t want it to … 🤔
