The Dollar Tree normally starts to put out their gardening supplies for our area right after Christmas. I wanted to go into the Dollar Tree to see if they have starting putting gardening supplies on the shelves for the 2021 gardening season. They have starting stocking garden supplies so come shop with me and let’s see what they have and what we picked up. If you are on a budget or beginning to garden I highly recommend you get some gardening supplies from the Dollar Tree to start off.

I hit a couple of Dollar Trees up yesterday and yeh all DT’s are not created equal. I did get about 30 packs of seeds though and I need to get some of those grow cups. I think I cleaned out those cute stackable planters last week, got to get those early. I’m saying too, can we get these boxes opened already.😊

How many pots come in each package of plastic planter pots? I was going to use red solo cups or get some pots on Amazon. But if I can save some money using those then that is even better. Lol because I already spent enough on seeds online. Thank you in advance. Peace and love
Oh and you can use shop lights as grow lights as well. The lumens should be at least 5000 and kelvins between 5000k-6500k. Not sure if you are familiar with that. But Walmart had some decent priced ones. Cheaper then the actual grow lights.
I'm trying to figure out this Herb Rocket as well. I experimented, so I'm waiting to see what happens. I also bought the little pots and Seed starting mix and potting soil. We don't have any seeds. Unbelievable! I also missed out on the stackable planters because I assumed that we would get more. Who knew that many people were gardening!? Lol
Some really cool supplies found. Will be interesting to see how that Tomato Rocket turns out. We live in a small town and our big box and dollar stores have still not recovered from 2020. No seeds, none of those little pots, canning jars, coco coir, and many other things. It is different than it has been before but hoping this is just some backlash and not permanent change. The Dollar Store has about 1000 ways to assemble a garden and for many that is the best point of entry. We were lucky to get a couple seed trays early from the Home Depot before they had to restock. LOL Some of this is just it being so early and seasonal stuff isn't out yet but we have noticed it is behind schedule and lesser than before already. Great trip and haul. Thanks for the share!
I have to tell myself that in stores all the time! Thrift stores, dollar tree, and anything vintage. Looks like I need to make a trip to dollar tree soon though!

Got the rocket tomatoes earlier in January and planted mine indoors and 10 seeds have already germinated and looks healthy. I did the double cup method and covered it with plastic wrap until it germinated. They are on their 3rd sets of leaves. I will have to thin it out.
I got the strawberry kit from dollar tree and surprisingly 10 days later I saw seedlings! I was surprised because I’ve never been able to start strawberry from seeds. Loved the video!
The Dollar Tree struggle is real, I spent $103.00 there yesterday! How does that even happen 🤦🏻♀️
I use the wire hanging baskets and liners love them. I unrolled it when I planted the rockets, lightly covered with soil and kept it moist for germination.

Ones I've tried like this you roll them out. You can cut pieces to fit your pots or just roll it out for your long plant boxes or plant outside in your 🌺 gardens.

I just planted a flower block today in a pot but after watching several videos, I'm going to take it out of the pot and unroll it and plant it flat.

I live in Chicago, so there are numerous dollar trees within a 20 minute drive. I went to 2 today and found mini soaker hoses for my garden. I haven't open them yet but think they would be great for my raised beds.

My Dollar Trees (SE PA) have no, none , zilch, gardening supplies. Ugh! I found seed starting mix $6 for 8 liters, at the garden center. Too expensive.
