  1. Pink hydrangea = alkaline soil. Add espoma soil acidifier and your blooms will go blue. (Purple if not quite enough soil acidifier.)
I've found it a tough season for my garden. Either not enough rain, but too much humidity (for days on end); or too much rain then humidity (again, for days and days). Overload of fungal disease. Zone 5b/6a, Massachusetts.

  2. I really enjoyed the tours of both your back and front yards. So much variety! I'm inspired to plant and learn about more than just the basics… I dont want my yard to look like everyone else's. Its also nice to see the things that are still in progress, it helps me be more patient. Very nice!

  3. Thanks for sharing, Amy. I have 2 sad looking blue junipers that I was going to chuck, but I love your juniper/coneflower combo and would love to recreate it – we shall call it the “Amy corner” :-). My coneflowers this year (store bought) didn’t survive due to fungal disease so good to see seed-grown plants thriving – planning to grow from seed next year. Also adding globe thistle to my list – they have character! And I absolutely adore your nap chair – could you share closeups or more details?

  4. I grow that orange cosmos. I planted one packet of seeds 5 years ago. they drop seed easily so you dont have to re-sow. I believe these are called bright lights. they are easy to dig up and transplant too. I mine get over 5 ft tall and wide. I have to cut them back because they will take over in my area.

  5. 😆 I had to laugh because my artemisia is huge and I’m wondering if it’s easy to divide. Brand new here and enjoying your videos 👍🏻
