  1. I see you enjoy birds too! We planted cone flowers for the goldfinches here in SW Virginia. Any specific plant or tree that you've used for birds?

  2. Gosh the front is so pretty. Very colorful with all the annuals. I know the picket fence and porch will completely change the entire look of the house. You’re doing a fantastic job. Tfs. 👏🏻💕👏🏻

  3. I love your channel it’s so Informative by watching your videos I’ve learned so more about my shrubs, bushes and flowers I just planted this year this is my first flowerbed thank you 🌱🌻🐝

  4. I can’t believe how much you have gotten accomplished in one season! I can’t wait to follow the progress on all of these trees and shrubs, it’s going to be amazing!!!

  5. Are u going to run into a lot of roots when u plant a new tree close to where maple was? I’m getting a pear tree taken out this year but want to replant something in its spot or close to it. I’m afraid of running into roots and rootball of old tree when I go to replant. How will u deal with that?

  6. The only problem I have with mulch is that it attracts all the neighborhood cat's. Does anyone else have this problem?

  7. Something blue would be nice, and you have plenty of room for one. How about a Ceanothus ( California Lilac ) ? I've planted a low growing one ( repens ) and it's been a profusion of lilac / blue.

  8. Looking forward to seeing the white fence. I think I will look really great. I have a couple butterfly bushes that were given to me by some birds, one purple and one white, and have easily had 10 butterflies at a time on it. It’s not even in the best spot sun wise but it doesn’t care.

  9. Congrats on the White Shi Shi camelia! I have one too but it's still in the nursery pot, waiting for the temps to cool down a bit more to plant it in the ground. I'm in zone 8b. My Empress of China dogwood is struggling a bit, it's on the south side of the house. It may be getting too much sun.

  10. I know the video is about shrubs, but I have to admit I cannot get my eyes off that red colleus… I have to have it next season.

  11. This all looks amazing. Can you please talk about your hardwood mulch. Is it dyed? I have always read that it can mat together so that plants cannot breath. Especially shrubs prone to fungus like roses.

  12. The misty patch conservatively scrape because rainbow methodically offend failing a giant knowledge. unsuitable, clear client

  13. Wish I had your vision. Would have no idea where to start. I'm on a corner lot in MN. Across from a school so salt/sand is an issue in winter! 🤷

  14. 0:20 aerial view is amazing. Just get rid of those last 2 patches of lawn and it wouild be a dream landscape for me. grass is so boring, lol.

  15. 9:35 I love your channel but everyone once in a while you say the craziest things. That neighbors' red mapel is gorgeous and does not need to go!

  16. I like your curbside plantings, very colorful. I want to eliminate my Zoysia at the curb bc I suck at edging! How do you keep your Zoysia from creeping into your beds?

  17. I’ve got a foundation wall that is 6’ tall, full sun, well drained, zone 6, Ky, I have room for 5’ width close to very low traffic. I’m looking for something that “might” keep its color all seasons if possible, would love to have a pollinator shrub/bush/plant. Pollinators more important than all season color. Can you please give me suggestions? Thank you so much.

  18. Hi Jim! Thank you so much for putting the names of each plant on the screen, I’ve learned a lot in gardening watching you channel. Your yard has really come a long way in a relatively short time! Keep up the good work!! 👏😃
