Really good advice there. I was thinking about getting an allotment. Got 3 young children, am thinking whether I can manage it or not. Loving growing n planting. Your video gave me an insight. Thank you
I'm not getting an allotment to please the neighbours… if they're bothered about the dandelions in mine they've got to chill
Watched 10 minutes: There is so much more to life and gardening than thinking worrying and discussing what other people think of you and your allotment.
"What other people think of me is none of my business"
Absolutely the best advice ever! Thank you so very much for your inspiration! Off to my plot👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for this advice, just got our 1st allotment and realy useful tips!!
Really useful, some great ideas for newbies! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Very informative for beginners.
I just got an allotment today. It is a bit of a mess, but it's also nicely sectioned off, unlike the other plots we were offered.
My partner and I are sharing the load, which is great, but we're taking it in sections. This year, we're just prepping for next spring and we're only aiming to get half fully prepared. But that tip about the strumming and covering is really good! Thank you ❤️
Just been offered a plot today. Only a half plot but at least it's something. Going to view it tomorrow. Can't wait! Thanks for the info 👍
I have an allotment but I’m not great at it …
I was thinking of asking a couple of friends if they’d be interested in having an allotment together to share the workload and the produce. I am concerned of us committing then not being able to follow through though. I’ve got more thinking to do!
Thank you for this, really useful! We took on an allotment of our own this month and we are going to document our journey, EXCITED!
Thanks for this useful advice. At the moment I garden in my small backyard.
Can I ask whether its possible to just rent a half plot during the summer only?, as I have raynauds (loss of blood circulation in my hands and feet when it's cold) and so I cannot be outside in winter.
Thanks for all advice and explainging how people can see new allotment owner.I just got mine yesterday and I went there and done so much work.It will take me some time but I'll get it ready
Great video! You've to make gardening a habit! 😀

I don’t have an allotment, but there’s lot of great advice here for me to apply to my garden’s veg patch
i walk 2,5 miles there and back 😀 love it
I have just rented an allotment of a farm who rents out on their farm. This is the first video I have ever watched on allotments. I am so naive on what I am doing but will take help from this video and have subscribed to this channel. The plot is being marked out tomorrow 28th Dec 21. Really looking forward to my new hobby. Thank you for the video.
Is it just me or are most of these tips about the other allotmenteers' opinions?
Is an allotment garden suitable for someone with social anxiety?
My mum got me an allotment!luckily their literally in my street
No offence but this video is very off-putting to me as an almost first-time allotment renter. It portrays existing allotment renters as gossips who spend a lot of time worrying about what the new person is or is not doing. Very odd.
Excellent info.
This might be a really dumb question do people steal chickens from an allotment?
🌻🐝☀️🌺👨🌾 I love your garden!! It’s a great inspiration to me as I am also a gardener and YouTube creator. You put a lot of work and love into growing your garden! All the hard work is worth it to me to get to see the new growth everyday it brings me so much joy! l’m just harvesting my first fruits and veggies. I still have so much to learn and I appreciate all of m your tips, tricks that you share! Please Keep sharing! I would love to learn more about gardening from each other.
Hi, can you elaborate on when you said 10:51 “that’s not what allotments are about” on making it look like the cottage aesthetic. I wanna know what people think about that more
I am a beginner get my allotment in September x
Some really beautiful shots here!!
So you can have a bbq on a uk allotment?!
This was ALL about being there regularly. I'd skip this video if you want veg tips.
