Hey Anika, thanks for your garden videos! There are so many videos on growing tomatoes in wide open spaces but there are much fewer resources dedicated to growing tomatoes on apartment balconies in more northern latitudes. I do have a couple of questions since I also have an east-facing balcony:
1. I have TONS of flowers, all of them are getting pollinated but the per-fruit size of my tomatoes is quite disappointing. I have beefsteak, salad and also cherry type tomatoes but all of them stay smaller than their supposed fruit size. Especially the beefsteak ones. They are not even reaching 100g per fruit, most stay in the 40-50g area which is far too small even for the middle-sized varieties. I'm not quite sure where the problem lies because yours from last year look super big.
I regularly feed them with a liquid fertilizer for veggies and I have done both single- and double-stem pruning on different plants but the results don't really change all that much, they all stay quite small when they ripen up. Am I being too greedy when I purposefully pollinate almost all flowers? How many tomatoes do you usually let grow on a single vine?
2. Do you have to deal with blossom-end rot? Any tips on management? Some of my plants are very suseptible and its very aggrevating to seeing fruit loss due to BER.
Mine just has little flower and leaves. Il have to chop those leaves off

Have you tried rooting the suckers? It's fun and you will end up with new plants.
You tied them way to tight.. the stem will get bigger and thicker as they grow
Actually, flowers and fruit will grow out on the suckers as well

How do you deal with wind in the balcony? My tomatoes are one strong gust away from snapping. No amount of staking will save it from the strong winds in Netherlands.
