  1. Irish and Scotch ‘mosses’ are not true mosses and can be aggressively invasive. They will invade and destroy moss beds and are almost impossible to eradicate. The little white flowers produce seed pods which cause the plants to spread throughout to garden.

  2. Another tip that works well to encourage rapid natural moss growth – especially on stone/rock and other solid surfaces – is to "paint" the surface with natural yoghurt. I've used this technique and had successful results within a few months, provided other conditions are favourable.

  3. What a great channel you have! One question regarding the moss. Can you put compost or fertillizer on top of moss that is growing between your plants? I have some young plants growing and they need to be fed also 🙂
I also planted some Scottisch moss last year, but it doesn’t last if you have a lot of cats coming into the garden

  5. I have another tip for growing moss, you can get aluminum sulphate from any garden center, mix it with water according to the directions on the product, and water the moss with this mixture every two weeks. Aluminum sulphate will acidify the soil and provide the perfect environment for moss to grow.

  6. Great video…but, regarding to the rhyzoids…I'm pretty sure the only nutrient they can get via rhyzoids is nitrogen. Am I wrong?
