  1. Great videos – I have enjoyed watching and learning from them. Question for you. I have a perimeter bed in my backyard. One area has great morning sun for about 3 hours and then is in the shade for the remainder of the day. I've planted hostas and ornamental grasses last year that did well but I would like to add some interest that looks nice throughout the year. Any ideas? I'm right across the sound from you on Long Island. Thanks.

  2. Surprisingly enough, the grasses are growing well. (I cut them from larger clumps I had in the yard last year) I actually already have some japanese holly that is growing really well from 2 seasons ago in this area. I will try some of your suggestions. Viburnum is an interesting idea. I also took the plunge this year and went with your suggestion of organic brown mulch instead of the dyed black. 10 yards are sitting in my driveway. Time to go to work. Want to swing by with your Dingo? 🙂

  3. They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. But let’s face it: a home and its occupants are often judged (at least in part) by the appearance of its front lawn.

  4. Acknowledge your expertise of landscape and garden designing. One must follow this video for having a welcoming outdoor living area. Good Job!

  5. Looks nice but you need some ground cover in the front of the hydrangeas'. Not only will it stop erosion but it will be more pleasing.

  6. how many clients do you have? i only have 3 plus my gramma's yard and i need more jobs and i live in lodi, ca and there'z a lot of competetion in lodi

  7. you mentioned in the video that you suggested the homeowners to keep the big trees in their front yard. why is that? I have a big oak tree in my front yard which i am seriously considering to take down.

  8. Yes, that great but the hard landscaping is what is really makes it interesting. It would have been interesting to see the before for comparison.
