Great videos – I have enjoyed watching and learning from them. Question for you. I have a perimeter bed in my backyard. One area has great morning sun for about 3 hours and then is in the shade for the remainder of the day. I've planted hostas and ornamental grasses last year that did well but I would like to add some interest that looks nice throughout the year. Any ideas? I'm right across the sound from you on Long Island. Thanks.
Surprisingly enough, the grasses are growing well. (I cut them from larger clumps I had in the yard last year) I actually already have some japanese holly that is growing really well from 2 seasons ago in this area. I will try some of your suggestions. Viburnum is an interesting idea. I also took the plunge this year and went with your suggestion of organic brown mulch instead of the dyed black. 10 yards are sitting in my driveway. Time to go to work. Want to swing by with your Dingo? 🙂
Great video!
Thank you 🙂
They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. But let’s face it: a home and its occupants are often judged (at least in part) by the appearance of its front lawn.
Great video john keep up the good work!
Awesome design buddy.
may the environmet be with us!
Good Job John. it gave me good ideas about front yard landscaping.
How do I keep weeds out of my landscaping and how do I kill the weeds permanently?
And it needs to be low maintenance
Acknowledge your expertise of landscape and garden designing. One must follow this video for having a welcoming outdoor living area. Good Job!
Looks nice but you need some ground cover in the front of the hydrangeas'. Not only will it stop erosion but it will be more pleasing.
how many clients do you have? i only have 3 plus my gramma's yard and i need more jobs and i live in lodi, ca and there'z a lot of competetion in lodi
This is a nice idea to create front yard #landscape design in this unique way. Thanks for showing this beautiful video.
you mentioned in the video that you suggested the homeowners to keep the big trees in their front yard. why is that? I have a big oak tree in my front yard which i am seriously considering to take down.
I live in Bridgeport, CT.
there pretty simple
wow…..very good …jobs…so cute i like🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡👍👍👍👍👍
Yes, that great but the hard landscaping is what is really makes it interesting. It would have been interesting to see the before for comparison.
Very nice
He talked about color but there was no color. No one bright or lovely plant.
it look so simple… there is no colors… too much hydrangea…
Whoever built those stairs should have been fired! Terrible
Thank you for including the zone information. That helped!
Personally I think it looked better before
nice classic look
Great Video! I just subscribed to your channel. Please check mine out and subscribe if you like it! Good luck my friend!
I really liked the way it looked at 1st.
The design is lacking color change, is too monochromatic
Lovely post ! Lots of good information as always. Thanks 👍
