Front Yard Garden

Food is Free Project: Open-Source Front-Yard Community Gardens

The Food is Free Project is an open-source community building and gardening project lining blocks with front yard community gardens built from salvaged materials. Plant a front yard garden and share the harvest with your neighbors. It’s a simple idea, and maybe a little unique but 19 of the 30 homes on our block host a garden and now our neighborhood not only shares veggies and smiles but even tools and a compost pile.

Start a Food is Free Project in your town and start inspiring and engaging your community. It starts with your first garden. Onward and upward!

  1. Are you also using hydro/aquaponic systems? Or are you planning in using the technology in the future? Peace.

  2. Same in my country
I do this in Thailand and it's amazing when I feel a good test from own food!☮😁🏳🇹🇭🏳😁☮

  3. Truly bravo to his guy, I just discovered this video and channel. This man is truly inspirational along with his cause.

  4. I would love to setup some green house type thing for the winter I live in Canada and I’m so thankful for the support I have because if I were on my own, I would be starving for sure. The cost of living here is too high and it’s completely unfair. Everyone deserves access to good food. I don’t know how I would power the green house to keep it warm without wasting energy. Can you set up solar panels to a battery ?

  5. I'm not even from the U.S, but in city we're doing similar things. It's pretty admirable these actions toward the benefit our planet.

  6. STARTING A COMMUNITY GARDEN SOON PLEASE COME AND JOIN THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY 4 OUR COMMUNITY IT WOULD BE AN HONOR 2 HAVE YOU APART OF MY PROJECT😘
