  3. another great video. my herbs are doing really well. i just need to get them planted. I love the idea of using the totes. can i plant them all in the same tote for now? although my spearmint will go in a pot of it's own and so will my lavender plants.

  4. I like the video, besides it can be done if there isn't room for a garden you can put the containers a bit higher so it's easy on the back. I've read an article (Dutch) about a guy who did that (and a higher square feet garden) for his disabled Granddad. His Granddad liked gardening, but due some health issues he wasn't able to walk anymore. So his Grandson made al this stuff for him and he can still do a bit of gardening in a wheelchair. I thought it was heartwarming.

  5. Hi Tessie! You always have good ideas. I wanted to let you know to keep your eyes open for hanging plants at Aldi. I found hanging gernaniums for $5.99. That was about 2 weeks ago.

  6. I've got a lot of those hanging baskets from over the years of buying them from the store so I'm going to try this for sure. Great idea love the tote pots for growing I may try that as well:) Much love….

  7. I have a bunch of clear bins like these, will those work for a container garden?

  8. Hi Tessie, good info. I always punch a couple of drain holes 1/2 -1 inch on the side of the tub rather than the bottom. This way you will always have a 1/2 inch of water in reserve for shorter rooted plants. The water will self-wick. If it is too wet for long roots, only then would I punch the bottom.

  9. Tessie … do you blend the garden and potting soil together or just the garden soil in first in the bottom of bin and then potting soil on top? I wanted to try tomatoes so needed to know this, thank you
