  1. NOTE to ALL: A Channel was opened today Using OUR Profile Picture, but the name is "Whatsapp…" with a phone number, IT IS NOT US, YouTube is aware of them and they are going after them. Please do not call that phone number.

  2. Im with you on not buying store bought plant food and not using epsom salts. I have found one little cheat though, the alfalfa pellets I have from the feed store for livestock food make excellent plant food! Mixed with water is ok but I like to push them into the soil buried about 1/2 inch. Only takes a few. Of course Im feeding the microbes and worms not the plants! Lol have a great day Robbie and Gary

  3. ????I love the way you elaborate on the explanations, instead of just showing things. Can you provide the link for the video for the connectors?

  4. Excellent, Mother nature, fertilizer, rotten leaves etc. Robbie like your Red floppy hat.Beautiful!🥬🍆🌶️🍓🍋

  5. The plant food you make is a good idea , just don't use if you are going to eat it for a day or two . When the air hits it, the anaerobic bacteria dies and the aerobic bacteria feast on it . I am going to do it this year and save it to feed the plants.

  6. So it isn't a problem there that birds take your seeds and peck your tomatoes? I love your videos. Ty!

  7. Went to resale shop for totes and chairs and they said how good of chairs and we said standing, they were really good ones. Lol

  8. I like these tote set up demos, especially how to refurbish. My totes are now a year old and harvests are done. My designated worm tote is packed so it's time to get them scooped out, harvest the castings below and divide them among four refurbished totes on my patio.. I'm excited to see what's at the bottom after a year! 🧤

  9. Hi Robbie, thank you so much for the easy gardening videos!!! Would composting in place work well for my garden stalk vertical garden?

  10. Do you do anything with the clay clogs you have dug up? Curious because I have clay soil too

  11. This spring I'm going to try not buy any plant food and just using compost and castings, weed tea..just to see if they do well without any…….I'm frugal lol

  12. I have started an compost of vegetables and fruit scraps. Eggs shells and used coffee grounds. I have put bread and oatmeal in it. Am l doing it right and can I put in meat and fish scraps also? Please help me.

  13. Hi Robbie love your videos. I’m in Australia and it’s the middle of summer but it’s been a very cool summer this year confusing the fruit trees We usually have a week of 40 C or over then a day in the 30s this year we have had the hottest days at only in the late 30s and most days are in the 20s I love it but have had so much trouble getting my vegetables to grow. I use your system with pots and love how I have so much control of what grows. So thank you your videos make my morning and give me the push to get outside and grow.

  14. are the totes on the chairs level? great video thank you

  15. Hi Robbie and Gary,
Do you guys ever get squash vine borers? If so, how do handle it? Can’t wait for the next video! Thanks

  16. I've been using totes and following you for the past two and half years. I need advise. Everything grows great except squash. There are just too many squash bugs. How can I protect my plant. I've use pesticides but do not like that option. Do you have any dandelion recipes (lol) or secrets that would help. Thanks

  17. Thanks so much for more great ideas! What are you thoughts on common pest issues such as aphids or vine borers? Or even plant diseases such as blight or powdery mildew? I’d love to hear your take on it! 😁

  18. I like that your garden can be worked on from a standing position. My body does not like kneeling and bending anymore. Great ideas. Thank you. 👍❤😊

  19. I have decided to garden again after taking a 2 year break…I tell everyone you have to call gardening a labor of love--you have to love it because it's a heck of alot of labor!! 🙂 But my old garden space is too shady and I'm having to start a new area where grass has always grown. I decided to do the no till method and as I have learned about "growing" healthy soil so my veggies will be nutrient dense, I have come to the conclusion that this year will be all about making sure the space will be teeming with all the good microbiology, creating an awesome soil food web, so I will plant in pots this year while I work on the garden to be. And that is when I discovered your videos and am so excited and thrilled by all you've done with your totes and all! How ingenious!! I had already started my tomatoes and peppers inside, along with some flowers and herbs to use as companion plantings–no chemicals for me please- but still too chilly to plant out yet. So I have found some of the totes and will pick them up tomorrow. I have already started 2 big pots with the compost layers, and can't wait to do the same with the totes. As I was gathering the sticks, etc to use as my bottom layer, I picked up some limbs that had come from my big oak trees, rotten ones that came down after a torrential storm awhile back. I broke them apart just to have smaller chunks of wood, and even though we've had no rain for over 2 weeks now, the wood inside was still wet! That got me remembering a video I watched about the Hugel Kulture method of gardening, and the guy dug into his bed 2 years after he had built it and alot had already broken down but there were still big chunks of his logs and full of moisture. He said he never had to water that area the whole previous two years and everything grew so well. So I am using his technique and your combined–my own little hugel-kulture in a tote!! I think the chunks of oak wood will keep me from having to water so often….as I have had to do in the past whenever I grew in pots…sometimes twice a day in the heat of our summers. You have awakened such an excitement in me!!! Keep up all your awesome videos and I thank you SO much! I will keep you posted on how my garden grows. BTW, I have also ordered the tulle….again, how clever and ingenious and what a big help for me to try!

  20. I love your ideas and suggestions. Since you and Gary find so many chairs maybe you could put them under the totes against the wall to stop the tree roots from invading your totes. I've watched so many of your videos and gotten so many ideas. Thank you so much!

  21. Love the chair garden!! I want to try this but need to know if the drainage hole in the front of your totes is the only drainage hole?

  22. Robbie says: Mother Nature's fertilizer is Drop, Rot, and Grow. So perfect, so funny

  23. First I tell my local friends about tote gardening. But, I should NOT have told them that the 2 thrift stores keep their totes in the back, until AFTER I had bought all that I wanted. Yep, you guessed it. I called the stores, they had them, BUT by the time I got there, they were GONE. Oh, and I KNOW it was my friend's that grabbed them, because I also told them about the wire trash baskets that you buy at the $Tree, to cover small plants. And, once again, there was only 1 left from the many that had been there just a day or 2 before. Ha Love it! We're all in our 70's and 80's, and enjoy not having to bend over to garden now. THANKS for all the awesome tips. 👌

  24. Hi Robbie ! Thanks again for all your videos 😍! I live in Cleveland Ohio and we will soon be ready for planting ! So I am ready ! So anxious to get started ! All my sprouted plants are all over my house !
Ok. You enjoy your sunny Ca weather 😎😎😎😎
    By for now !

  25. What /how do I get rid of woodchuck/Gopher I have half whiskey barrel and the woodchuck / gopher climbed up and was eating my tomatoes and my green peppers

  26. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m about the dump and ditch the compost bin and just keep using the black seed starter trays. I cut them off the tray, dig hole
In pot, blend scraps, fill, cover with dirt and tulle. Why do I do this now….YOU ma’am…and I so thank you 🫶🏾💜
