Front Yard Garden

Garden Tour: 🌱 Front Yard Walkabout 🌳

Let’s do a walkabout in the front yard, something we haven’t done in a while. I’ll point out chores that need tending, a description of what I consider house jewelry (link below), some tips about LVTV and other front yard topics. Grab your coffee or tea or hot toddy!

  1. Linda, I tried that squirrel repellent, bought it in-spite of it being on the expensive, but it didn't do a thing, except causing me to gag everytime I use it :-(…. What do you do for your squirrels, anything other than the spray?

  2. Keep on going my friend. You help me face the heat and isolation with a much lighter heart ❤️ ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  3. Oh how I love your morning coffee tours. My mother used to say rambunctious…I love it, except she used it in reference to my behavior when I was young. I do so appreciate and enjoy your articulate vocabulary describing your gorgeous landscape. Thank you for a wonderful start to my day.

  4. Lovely as always! I have a concrete planter like the one under the window box there in front (from my mother) that I usually plant with flowering annuals, I'm inspired now to try more foliage and textures in it (as well as adding white Caladiums in some shady spots). Thanks! How well would you say the color holds with your grass tuft through the summer sun? I'm thinking of trying it in a problem area.

  5. If you love this video, you'll lose your mind over john lords secret garden. The exact opposite of this slow, meandering video.

  6. Do you have to water your topiaries every day when its so hot. QUESTION: Off a bit. Do you have any pics of your house back in time; say 30-40s?

  7. Hello Linda. Absolutely adore you. Right now it's water with freshly sliced lemon. I'm in South Africa so alcohol sales have been banned since lock down. So we can not even enjoy a glass of wine in the garden. I've copied your style btw, baskets too. You are inspiring me daily. Lots of love from SA

  8. So so beautiful! As a fellow gardener I can appreciate the work that went into that stunning yard/garden!

  9. Your home is so pretty and landscaping is beautiful! Here in Pa I have lots of sun, deer, turkeys, bunnies and squirrels in my yard daily.😊 So I put flowers in pots on my back patio to try and keep them from being eaten.

  10. Do your neighbors appreciate your work? I have what I consider a nice front yard. I once found a neighbor IN the yard, taking cuttings. She hadn't asked, just took. I didn't like it; I would have shared if she had asked.

  11. Is the grass on your front lawn artificial as well? Your house is beautiful and you have enough plants as it is, but I keep thinking some English Tudor style window boxes below the second floor windows would really add a finishing touch. Maybe just the ones on the sides, not the middle one.

  12. What is the small tree that looks so airy? I thought you called it some type of viburnum.

  13. How do yiu care for concrete planters ? btw, Your voice is so deep here. Is that your morning vibe? LOL

  14. I am watching this in, Oct.29 , 2020. after you posted your video of the devastated front garden after the ice storm. What a heartbreaking difference !!! So so sorry , Linda. Praying that you’ll recover and start all over again. 👌🌹❤️😘🎈👍🙏

  15. Just came here to have a look of how your front garden used to be before ice storm . Sorry for this. ❤

  16. The first time I've seen your home and front garden from afar. Those neighbors have such a great view from their front yard tover to yours. Your garden is very lush with interest and layers. I love the stone and brick edging you built.

  17. I really love watching your videos. BUT there's way too many commercials! You probably don't have any control over that (or maybe you do?) but I stopped counting after 8 commercials. I know they're quick but wow!

  18. Beautiful front porch! One thing I'm really curious that how you can plant so many evergreens close to your big tree? I can't even dig a decent hole for shallow roots plants which is 3-4ft away my 16 yrs Pine tree.

  19. Is your front yard considered a shade garden? I’m doing my yards and having so much fun, learning a lot. I’m used to CA landscaping so its a chore and a new entirely different way of gardening. I appreciate your advice. We bought a brand new house in Melissa, TX. We used to live in OKC. But my husband was needed in Texas. So we settled here. We had a beautiful home in OKC too. Beautiful private community. With awesome homes similar to the look of your home but it was a brand new community. Looks to me like they built using your style and type of home in mind. Simply beautiful and beautifully designed garden.

  20. It depends upon the time of the day. I'm watching this early in the morning on my deck with a strong black coffee but if I'm watching out on my deck later in the day, there just may be a glass of red wine in my hand! ☕️🍷❤️🇨🇦
