  1. Nice video. I wonder how the electrical wires will be affected during the rainy season. Isnt water going to get into the wires where there are connections?

  2. I’m a 70 year old woman who installed my outdoor lighting successfully! I bought everything that was used in the video and followed the directions to the letter. Thank you! I’m a happy senior!

  3. with the amount of time and money this took just top light up a tree. Go solar an save yourself money and time. This was not worth it but i commend you on all the work just not worth the effort. too many solar options out there. They are so cheap i d rather buy new solar every couple of years once they start dieing.

  4. I don't know how I feel about that wire being pinched in the driveway crack. Maybe make a second pass to give the wire some breathing room.

  5. Thank you for making this look doable. I have a lighting system in my backyard and it keeps going out. I've replaced the transformer once but I believe the wires at one v of the lights is too exposed and not covered very well. Could be getting wet. I need to have another electrician come out and take a look

  6. When you run the cable under the sidewalk try to do it directly below an expansion joint. All sidewalks will crack directly above any cable you run under the sidewalk. 30 years experience

  7. Nice but unfortunately this would attract way too many insects at night in my area.

  8. I would never compromise my driveway for lights they could have run wire across the driveway via the house go from the front yard under the pathway into the house across the garage then into the yard on the other side of the drive. With the proper transformer the extra run of cable would be fine with no risk of a ungly cut and patch in your driveway.

  9. Great video! It’s been years. Perhaps everyone’s calmed down about the driveway and taking the easy route with solar lights 🤭

  10. You are awesome at explaining the process and knowing that people want to save money by doing projects themselves. Looking forward to sharing the video w my husband and attempting this soon.

  11. How far from the wall did you put the light that shines (up) the wall? Thank you. What is the name or item number of the pipe you put underneath the walk way?

  12. How did you handle getting the wire from the transformer to the bed ? Where did you hide it?

  13. That transformer post will bend on the side eventually. He just needs to mix a bag of $6 cement down the hole or mix with some small rock or gravel. Other than that, this is a great tutorial.

  14. Extremely helpful video. Love how you showed how to get around some of the more commonly encountered obstacles. Gave me the information and confidence I needed to tackle it myself

  15. You need to mention how to calculate what size transformer you need based on how many lights you are installing(how many watts each light is going to consume).

  16. How should I install the lights in plant bed if my plant bed has fabric and rocks on top of it?
