Here, Summer is completely gone and monsoon is at its peak and this month of August is the best time for sowing vegetable seeds.
In India, We have three main seasons:
Summer or Pre-monsoon season – Occurring from April to June
Monsoon or Rainy season -Lasting from July to September
Winter season – Lasting from December to Feb.

August is the ideal time to sow some vegetable seeds.

  7. instead of August can we start in mid of July .. typically hot peppers like ghost pepper .. reapers.. habaneros. because they grow slowly and by the time plant mature winters arrive

  8. Thank you very much for these useful tips, it has opened up my eyes to the possibility of growing more plants in this season like capsicum and peas, all others I am already growing. What about cabbage would it also do well in this season? When you speak about July as the monsoon period when the rains start, are you referring to the North India, because rains start in June or even mid May in South India like Bangalore where my farm is?
