  1. WOW! lol
    Beautiful property!
It reminded me of webcajun's and mhpgardner's.
I never heard of that hugelkultur…so I did check it out on the internet. Interesting! thanks for sharing that!

  2. I learned something new today…. "disc" is Italian for "tiller" ….LOL Beautiful place ya got there brother.

  3. Man! You have room for apple trees! Every time I want to plant an apple tree I have to level a forest! Oh, for a half acre of garden soil!

  4. Very nice! I didnt know it had a name but my Grandma used to do it in a pile of woodchips and she planted her seedlings still in the old metal coffee cans she started them in with holes knocked in the bottoms. After the crop she just pulled the entire can up. Thats gonna be a nice big garden TP. Good luck I hope you have a bumper crop. – Brett

  5. Hey TP2 keep us updated on your hugelkultur bed. I am working on something similar here at my place. I will have a video up within a couple of weeks. Keep up the good work.

  6. I'm ain't fo sho but this looks like da same plot that I gots a picture somewheres of pop on a small tractor (well, he made it look small) and your 1st born and I think we wuz pickin' purple-hulls. I just remember lots and LOTS of peas!! Don't remember the 'maters tho I probly et a few.
BTW i wouldn't worry about the "strafing", I think you could take out a MiG-35.

  7. Oh, I see I've been tagged. I'll get to work on that.
Sounds like you're under air attack there. ha
I'm with ProfKSE, a dwarf apple planting is in order out back.
    Where are the blackberries?
And man, all that mulch would have cost me big $ here.

  8. I'm thinking of "GOING BIG" this year also. Will have one plot 75×100, and another 50×75, then another spot 16×16 that will be just cucumbers… and I've actually ripped all the shrubs out from around the house… and plan on planting pepper and tomato plants there.

I'm looking for a big yield of simple and easy things this year.
