Garden Plans

Let's Talk About Our New Garden Plans! It's A Blank Slate and A Big Tackle, Can We Do It?

Only time will tell If the big plans we have for 2022 come to full build or not. Come along with us as we lay it out the gardens and talk about our Hoss tool seed haul. Emma and I chat about the potted gardens and the new market garden with inspiration drawn from my trip to Filoli Gardens in California last spring. Support our growing farm with Hoss link below.

  1. I used to grow both vegetables and flowers then last year I focused more on the flowers but I missed the home grown taste so I plan to grow a lot of veg in pots and crates.

  2. In SC, okra was grown here forever. I am not a fan. My 96 yr old mother puts pumpkin in the freezer. She makes pumpkin pie at least once a week. People bring them to her after Halloween. We are zone 8 here. I love flowers but can no longer do gardens.

  3. Hi Beth! I met you at the HOA conference. We had dinner together with Hoss. I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely am loving your podcast and YouTube channel! I’ve been listening to your podcast while weeding the garden! Everything about your life is so beautiful!
I wish we could have talked more at dinner. Blessings! Tracy @ justdigitfarms

  4. New subscriber here! Been watching your videos and enjoying the great content. Your arrangements are beautiful and I can't wait to see how the beds look this year. We have a lot of changes we're looking forward to making this year as well. Always fun to see what the new growing season will bring!

  5. could,'t resist to have a look at the Hoss flower seeds; love the Joker and Fire Cracker sunflower they have.

  6. Do you seed summer or winter Brussel Sprouts? I'm Belgian (Brussels is the capital city of Belgium) and I always do the winter kind . Brussel spourts love the cold. They taste better after they have been trough some frost (the get sweeter) (I think we have the same kind of weather like you have) . I never plant my seedlings out before 15th July (even later when it's very hot weather) , I plant them in landscape fabric and place hoops over them with insect netting. That gives them some shade and protects them from butterflies (so you don't get caterpillars in them) . I have sprouts into March. Mmmm, Brussel sprouts are my favorite veggie. With butter and nutmeg!
