You've had a productive June!! I've taken a bit of a break this June, but am looking forward to getting back into it come July (and school holidays when I have some more brain power… and have more daylight hours at home) I'm certainly learning every year, and will be more onto it this spring with forward planning and planting! (p.s. love your hair!)
I've only just started a no-dig vege garden bed and know I have a lot to learn, so it's very daunting. I also am not 100% sure I've done the right thing, but I've got cauliflower, spinach and coriander going in there, some garlic that hasn't sprouted yet, onions, and broad beans that haven't sprouted yet but I only planted them a couple of days ago. I'm excited to see if any take off!!!
I have snow peas (which are starting to produce and great to put in the lunchboxes), cauli, broccoli , carrots, silverbeet(which the birds keep eating)and lettuce. I have a tree tomato that I grew from a seed and have covered with frost cloth to protect but it is covered in ants?? Not sure what to do about it.Thanks for showing your garden, it is looking good.
Inspiring video as always! Thank you π
Really cool to see how you manage to still get good yields without much sunshine! When did you put those broadies in, looking at yours i think i was too late with mine :/
Every kiwi panic buying garlic seeds.
Another great video! Have been waiting and checking for this upload haha was eager to see how your garden is going and get some inspiration.
Thanks heaps π Lisa from New Zealand
Enjoyed seeing the garden ππ»
Hi where can I get the seed catalogues? Thanks for your videos it's great having a nz gardener on youtube
Thanks … your silverbeet looks so healthy & dark green.
Hi
Love the vids…helps me know what seeds and veg are good to go. Question: its been pouring here on the East Coast NI, NZ, the ground is sodden . I have a no-dig bed waiting for my garlic to go in. Should I plant now or wait for the ground/garden bed to dry out a bit?π€π lols newbie gardener
Thanks for the update always love to see your videos and check I'm on track. Good harvests.
I put in purple sprouting broccoli last year at this time, plants I brought, and they were great in early summer. So this year grew my own plants and put in start of month, hoping to be eating nov.
Good to see you again, great video. I planted garlic this year, in the garden and the moles pushed all of them out. I replant and they will get pushed out again in a couple of days.
Iβm just starting to build raised garden beds and found your channel. What province are you. I am in Otago near Balclutha and struggling to find home gardening advice online applicable to my climate.
Where have you found plants or seeds for yacon
Have you grown ginger and turmeric in pots successfully? If so, where do you recommend getting the rhizomes from?
what garlic variety are you growing? Where do you recommend buying the garlic bulbs from?
Been watching your videos for awhile I'm down in the south island and have chucked in heaps of seedlings as an experiment even with minus 6.5 still good. Fingers crossed will get another garden and chuck in another lot. Cant wait to see your next garden video
Love watching your vids, great garden, and very inspiring for a new gardener such as myself, started about October last year so missed a lot of opportunities planting early etc which I will try and take advantage of this year! My attempts at broccoli have all been really straggly and seem to start flowing quite small, similar to the one you put in the basket at about 7.30, only ate one of them so far and it didn't seem as nice as shop one π hopefully my next tries are better!
looking forward to your next video. im starting my hamilton garden soon so good to have a fellow kiwi for inspiration, since im a total nubee deffs be taking notes

Hey there, would you suggest planting seeds like radish direct this time of year? Also, Iβm learning what/how to plant other seed – can you suggest any I could start now to plant out in a month or so? Iβm in Palmerston North. Thanks for your videos!!
Just found your channel and starting to binge watch. Thanks heaps for sharing your garden. Itβs great to see a kiwi gardener and familiar plants and conditions. I got started with the lockdown scare and kept going, mostly growing in a cheap tunnel house. Like you we have a south facing property on a slope and hard to get good sun in the winter. You have some really interesting planting ideas. Keep up the good work!
Are you going to start peppers and tomatoes cucumber etc now?
Im new to your channel but I love watching your videos and seeing the varieties you have planted out. I'm finally starting a vege garden and have just planted out what's due to be planted out this month going by the Tui calendar so lots of strawberries, lettuce, some blueberries, red and green cabbage, broccoli, onions, garlic and the old staple silverbeet and spinach. Tempted to plant out some early potatoes,do you think they will do ok in Hawkes bay?we're having a pretty mild winter with hardly any frosts
Love your videos. I needed this inspiration in June π thank you xxoo
