  3. Rejoicing in hope patient in tribulation continuing instant in prayer praise God praying for everyone everyday God bless you all

  4. Those are squash bugs. You caught site of almost all the stages…except the eggs. The big hard shell one is the adult. The tiny are nymphs. Then they grow. I had to go out daily spraying water and killing them by squishing in my fingers. They hate water and climb up so you can find them. You've had a beautiful productive garden. Beautiful video.

  5. You are so blessed to have help. Squash looks great. I had trouble with those bugs this year as well in Spring. I replanted in August……Now my Summer squash is so beautiful but we are supposed to have a hard freeze tomorrow night! Early freeze. Love your videos. YouTube got I touch with me and asked if I would recommend your videos to other people. I gave it a five star review and excellent. Hope this helps. Love from Texas 👩🏼‍🌾❤️

  6. Wow – those bugs on the squash are crazy – looks like you got more peanuts than you thought. I have never seen marigold plants split like that and is still going strong. Hope those aren't fire ant hills. Still praying for Patch's return.

  7. I saw the squash bugs up close and yelped "Burn them with FIRE!", startling my cat who was resting on my chest and left a long scratch across my upper arm in her haste to leap away. Totally my own fault. Gee but I hate squash bugs.
Sorry to learn of Patch being missing. Hopefully Patch just saunters in one day soon. I never lose hope with cats. Or with goats. They are such adept survivors.

  8. I enjoyed the video Kaye. It has been a tough growing season here with the flash droughts and intense solar radiation. We are facing three nights of a hard freeze beginning tonight. In a normal year we don't get that occurring until late November. I'll be losing several weeks of production on my remaining summer crops.

  9. Did you do a video on the steam juicer? That looks incredibly easier than other juicing methods for muscadines. I have 40-50 pounds a year and have not found a good way to juice them yet.

  10. I can’t even put words to how gorgeous this video is Kaye. It even brought tears to my eyes at one point, I kid you not. You should be very proud of your homestead progress. It gives me hope that maybe I can do half as good if I’m on a homestead by next spring… You have a special way of both combining the practicality of growing plants with the beauty of nature, as well as, the beauty of scrumptious dishes and putting away the harvest for winter. By far one of my fav homestead videos. The only others I like as much is Hop Along Hollow and Patara at Appalachia’s Homestead. Each of you have your very on unique specialty.❤️ (Your mom is a beautiful lady too!💗)

  11. This video was feast for the senses! Beautifully done, brava! You have had an incredible harvest if you ask me.

  12. Kaye, I would say garden season 2022 was a great success for you. All your hard work paid off! I personally cant wait for next years bounty, I am already planning and prepping. I'm still hoping Patch will return.

  13. You have had a great harvest this year! All your hard work is paying off. I gave up on planting in my window planter, my cats have taken them over. 😂

  14. Kaye, maybe your viewers would love a video on how to peel squash and pumpkin for canning or pumpkin soup? Half the pumpkin using one of the seams. Gut it…Cut along each seam. Peel in those smaller slices of pumpkin or squash using a peeler. OMG I just came across this technique and so easy. The trick is once the product is dry then PEEL. Not so slippery.

  15. fabulous! i planted pumpkins on aug. 1 and apparently i was a couple weeks late they're all still green but hopefully i'll have a few by thanksgiving lol
