Why would you need pins to pin down the weed barrier when it is buried in gravel?
pond lining far better than weed membrane to keep weeds back. don't forget to poke a few holes in for drainage

I found this video 50% useful.
weeds usually get through most things…I found that putting bags down etc under the gravel causes the ground to sweat,enhancing weeds.They get through in the end…Its just as easy to hoe the weeds when they come through,or rather than expensive weed killer for areas where weeds are particularly bad…Boil a kettle and pour boiling water on them.That works well for weeds /moss growing between paving slabs……Cheers Ade

What kind of rock/gravel is this?
I recommend to use this sparsely, for special areas and paths only. Don't follow trends to make front gardens, or entire residential areas, look like railroads, where they ran out of money before laying the tracks. The last is currently a horror in parts of Europe, turning gardens into dead, barren deserts on a large scale.
