  1. Gardening eve lol!! Totally our biggest challenge isn't starting too late, it starting too early. We're very close to water. So we're actually 9B, and last frost day is March 15th BUT the soil temperatures take forever to come up here in our micro climate. This year we're thinking more about soil Temps than last frost. That being said mother nature always throws curveballs lol
    Cheers Jord
    Looking forward to water catchment!!

  2. I would also recommend looking at frost dates and observing your micro-climate for planning seed starting. I'm in Surrey, which is also 7b, but my last avg frost is end of March. I have learned that I can get a lot of greens started in the next week and in the garden by the beginning of March. My yard is more protected from wind and my soil warms up pretty fast.

  3. With everything that’s going on in the world, focusing on gardening and the spring is really helping me. 🙏🏼 I really enjoy watching your videos! Thank you.

I’m in zone 5a. We just got 12 inches of snow last night and today. Seems like spring is so far away, but it will be here before we know it. 🌱 Looking forward to your tips and pointers along the way.

  4. I purchased chicken manure and wondering (zone 7b) if it is too early to remove leaf mulch and top my flower beds with the manure. And if l do add the manure do l then recover the beds with the leaf mulch?

  5. Hi Jordan, I am from lower mainland Vancouver and when checking my last spring frost date, it’s April 21 from the old farmer’s almanac , and Mar 28 from Westcoast Seeds catalogue. Should I go in between those two dates? Thanks!
