  1. Great video! I got excited last week when I thought I had borage or comfrey in my yard, but turns out to be green alkanet, which is only really useful as a mulch or to attract bees. Definitely be certain of what you have before you harvest

  2. I'm going to a place that someone has a booth and sell Elderberry syrup. I love it for colds and throat issues, or flu symptoms.

  3. @OFF GRID with DOUG & STACY is there a foraging guide you would recommend? Love you two and all that you post on YT for all of us!! Thanks

  4. Thank you Doug and Stacy for sharing this video with us.
I learned alot today and hope to identify some of the plants that grow on our property.
One thing i wondered about the ettable medisinal plants is do they taste good?
    Thanks for brightening our day!😊❤

  5. I wish there were better pictures of these plants…LOVE this topic, I know about plantain, and the psyllium parts, , Dandelion I've consumed from childhood up, just NOW a few months ago learned you can eat the flowers 🙄 I wasn't taught that…purslane is also delicious, I NEVER spray my yard for ridding of these, I swear big pharma thought that one up, lol…but want to know AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE about ALL these…so THANK YOU for doing this video🙏🏻👏💗 wish the video was 5 times longer 😊

  6. Every time someone shares about the passionflower vine I just want to cry. We had this beautiful vine with an odd flower and green pods growing over it, and I just ripped it out and threw it in the flames! Now I know. 😢

  7. We have the poison sumac here in Alabama!!! Know first hand, took 30 + days to get rid of. Do not use elderberry if you have high blood pressure.

  8. Thank you Doug and Stacy I really appreciate all of your Content we'll save this video and watch it over and over♥️♥️♥️

  9. I have been harvesting from nature; for going on 12 years then I went into the US Navy, getting back to the country after many years away from Missouri.

  10. Doug; You sound very "nasal." I've wondered if a sinus lavage would be helpful for you. An ENT doctor did a complete sinus lavage for me in the 1970's, using a cotton ball soaked in eucalyptus oi in each nostril and a heating lamp. After the oil heated up for 20 minutes, he used a suction device. I had no more sinus problems for over 20 years. Do you think this would help you? Wishing you and yours health and happiness. 🙂

  11. Wash the plantain leaf let sit in water all night. Wash your eyes and pink eye goes away. Put breast milk 3 drops in eye gets rid of it. Take Rue and wilt over stove squeeze into ear infection leaks out. Seems like it was pretty cold during this video.

  12. Don't you have to clean the seeds out of the rose hips before eating? Also, the Goosefoot they used to can them years ago.

  13. Found you all about a month ago! Love it!
Living in a small town with a lot in town. Where do I need to start…homesteading a little more? We have a 4 raised beds, hydroponic garden tower, and growing Microgreens.
Where do I need to start?
