Grow Vegetables WITHOUT a Garden! | Grow Bag Gardening Vegetables W/ Kevin from Epic Gardening

Grow vegetables without a garden! I teamed up with Kevin from @Epic Gardening to share how convenient Grow Bag Gardening is for most people.

Gardening with grow bags (AKA fabric pots) is an excellent, easy way to grow vegetables indoors or out. You can use it in your backyard, balcony or even on your windowsill. The bags are reusable and environmentally friendly. You won’t have to worry about many of the things that make in-the-ground gardening difficult for so many.

  1. Another fantastic collaboration!! I like that you always insert a moment of humor into your videos. The drone footage of you fitting between the grow pots is so funny (slightly awkward) and unexpected. Hahaha! Love it. Great video, keep them coming!!

  2. I used grow bags last season and I put them in a little plastic pool and kept about an inch of water. It caused a self watering system. Fill it with pea gravel and it will keep the misquotes away.

  3. Yay! My favorite dudes, my favorite way to garden! Loving your content, Cam, keep it up pleeeeease!

  4. Ahh thats really interesting about the fibre bags 'pots' and the roots, would you recommend them for bigger plants like a graphed fruit trees?

  5. Can I place these grow bags in a kiddie pool with a small amount of water. Especially if I leave for vacation

  6. Used a 30 gallon bag for my carrots-worked well. Do have to water often and water more often. Also use for potatoes.

  7. What's the best soil choice/mix for grow bags? What is the best spacing between the bags?

  8. Hello,my first to try a fabric pot and I bought some 10 gallon rectangle planter pots, but they are not as sturdy as I had hoped, once they are filled, they splay out completely. What should I do?

  9. For anyone to answer: I went on vacation and put four grow bags in saucers of water with a drip system filling the saucers. But, the bags got over watered. The weather turned HOT and algae began to grow on the soggy bags. They’re out of the water now, drying out. The bags contain potatoes that have not sprouted. Are these potatoes a loss?

  10. THANK you for sharing. We are a manufacture of gardening goods. If u need u can contact me.

  11. Thank you, I just started Nov 2021 with hardy winter veg/potatoes/garlic/onions/ginger. I am new to this and excited about what I do not yet know. Gratitude

  12. Hello! We just planted new sod so I cannot put my grow bags in the grass this year. I have the space to put them on my wood deck and concrete patio. If I put large grow bags 15-30 gallon grow bags on the wood deck and concrete patio, do you think it would cause rotting in the wood deck?

  13. I planted 3 determinate tomatoes in 10 gallon grow bags today. All three are covered by 'cut milk jugs' until things warm up. Average 45 degrees at night right now in western Oregon, so it shouldn't be long.

  14. I’m a new Gardner and sent for a bunch of grow pots. Today while shopping at Walmart and looking through the seeds ( their garden place wasn’t open yet) I told another lady I was going to grow in the grow pots and she was really interested in them. I clued her in to you guys on You Tube for tips. Our weather is beginning to be getting in the 60s and I’m considering growing lettuce. I figure if a frost does come ( they’re predicting hot and dry spring) will move it into the garage. Thanks for all of the tips!

  15. Put a bunch in a kiddie pool for 10.00 or use those clay water bottles that go into the dirt in the grow bag slowly releasing water fill them weekly or as needed. I bought 12 10 gallon grow bags for 15.00 on Ebay and 15 of the 7 gallon grow bags for 20 on Amazon..good deal. Downside not mentioned..the costly part is the dirt. Takes a 5.00 good sized bag to fill one 10 gallon grow bag. Order it by the yard locally and pick it up in a pick up truck..cheaper!

  16. I literally just bought this book for my mother for mother's day. I use half grow bags and regular plastic pots. I'm doing a experiment to see which grows better and if one outperforms the other I'll go and use that one predominantly.

  17. I transplanted a 50ish day old mature tomato plant to a 10 gallon bag and now anytime the sun hits the plant it wilts very badly. I’m in Mississippi, the heat index gets around 110 here

  18. This is so funny because I live on 12 acres in south central Texas so you would THINK I have plenty of room for a garden. We have constant wind on our hill and the garden spot was full sun and I just didn’t have great success SO I’m moving everything to grow bags on the deck. I just bought your book and I’m going for it. I hope it gives guidance and sowing seeds outdoors. Thank you!
