You garden like I do. But I learned it is better to measure how widespread the plant will grow and then place your plant in the middle. This gives it plenty of room for roots and growth. And to leave a foot distance between wall/ house. This helps with future house or foundation work. Love what youβre doing.

I would have put rocks/pebbles in front of the hedges for low maintenance but the plants look good too π

Why don't you cut down those hedges and make the area look like the area around the tree bordering it with bricks. The hedges are boring and always need to be trimmed. It would really make the front of your house look really nice to have a pretty garden bordered by bricks like you did around the tree.
