I love St. Peter as he was a bit hot-headed and impetuous. Reminds me of me. I also equally love St. Paul. He was wise and very willing to show how falibly human he was. James and John the sons of Zebedee are also a special pair, the sons of thunder. St. Peter will always be the keeper of the keys though.

I remember that in my school i had a nun in my O level class and she was an amazing class teacher and taught us Religion and Sinhalese literature(a very challenging subject usually taught by Buddhist monks) and i remember how she moulded us for 2 years and made every lesson a reflection to our own lives and at the end of those 2 years the our whole class (in the beginning a bunch of teenagers most of whom didn't have the slightest faith) were at daily mass actively participating and praying with utmost faith. Coming to think of it now the formation she gave us was profound! this is why Catholic schools need more nuns! let us pray that more vocations arise

Went to Catholic grade school in upstate ny with Sisters of ST joseph nuns. It was clear that the nuns were more together and smarter than the priests.. sorry no offence 🙂

A priest in a livestream of a mass I regularly watch had a homily before Halloween last year talking about reclaiming the original intention of "All Hallows Eve". It made me think of having my daughters impersonate St. Gertrude of Nievelles and St. Therese of Lisieux for Halloween. Still haven't materialized.
It must have been hard for St Paul to grow up in a household with so many sisters.

I had a really difficult day yesterday, and I forgot to turn to God for help. But I made it through anyway. You've reminded me that I need to thank him for bringing me through.
