Container Garden Update 23 – More propagation, camphor seedlings and germinating Ficus benjamina



Checking in on last week’s rosemary cuttings, showing off some Ficus benjamina seeds and ficus repans cuttings and potting up some camphor tree seedlings. Also, quick up date on all the usual containers, too.

  1. Ah, I showed that in previous episodes, but I haven't talked about it much. The "thing" is a recycled juice bottle ( I think this one was orange juice). I drilled a few holes in the bottom and then buried it in the pot when I was first putting it together. This allows me to take off the lid and fill it with water to allow some extra water, that slowly adds water to the container, on particularly hot days. You can also use wine bottles tipped into the soil for a similar purpose.
