First Frost/Freeze Zone 8A Georgia wow. I’m Brokefarmer and in this episode i will show the frost damage to my garden and how i deal with plants dying. No one likes to see their plants die but always remember annual plants last one year and when their life is over celebrate it and don’t be sad because that plant fed your family the time it was alive. I always feel thankful when a plant has had a full life, I feel like as a gardener i helped nurture that plant to its full potential. Watch along and rejoice in the abundance that that my plants gave me .#spring plants don’t last in the fall. Let me know in the comments have you had your first frost of the year or when is your first frost due.

Broketown Ga! 😆
Wow! Frost! That’s right. Adapt and overcome! Take care.
Thats right, focus on the future. The harvest shows itself and is easy to see.
The eggplant looked edible 😋. Save the soil and compost the rest.
That's right. Prep on, Boo. Prep on!
Frost was early for everyone we don't know this weather anymore. Get it going Broke.👍🏾
Focus on the future…❣️
BROKE,WHY DONT U PLANT IN GROUND WHERE U HAD THE GROUND COVER…RENT A TILLER AND GET GRASS ROOT BULBS OUT AND PLANT
The bed will be good and ready for spring planting
These last three days I have been experimenting with some Changsha citrus they are like tangerines. When you start the seeds in the ground and they are young they are cold Hardy to 15 degrees, they are doing great. I also have a cold Hardy avocado tree and it is doing great also. 31 and 32 degree nights. My tomatoes are still going when they are done I keep everything and put my leaves on top of everything. I love gardening. Oh yea zone 7 Raeford north carolina
I know what it is Bro. Just got in from pulling out my spring veggies. "DONE"! I did harvest a whole basket of stuff before the frost. Gotta keep it pushin'. and grow on to the next. 👍🎬
That frost done hit GA dang man. It's hitting everywhere early this year.
Already ready to see your spring garden, I know it's gonna be nice ❣️
Broke I’m in zone 8A I have one tomato plant still fruiting. The frost took my sorrel out.
Ha… Jack Frost come through but you where definitely ready for it all SoilBrotha 🙌🏾
In Zone 8a Ga as well. Already pulled up spring/summer crops and my fall veggies loved the freeze! Broccoli looks ready to grow heads. Covered my fig trees and brought in all the citrus for past few days. They were happy to get that sunshine n warmth today. Covered tonight tho. Get busy 🙏🏽 🥕 🥦
Out with the old and get ready for the new👌
Work with it, Broke. Job well done.
I didn't know that you are in Georgia too.
We have all gotten bitten by Jack Frost at one point or another. Good to see you brushing your shoulders off and getting ready for the next season.
That mushroom compost is hard to find here in the rural area. I know it will do wonders though. See there goes another reason you should get chickens, chicken manure, eggs, and fertilizers, help reduce waste from the kitchen to the landfill. Then you can eat it after two years.
You got it going on Broke ❤. That’s the way to make good out of bad ☺️
Did Dome Hepot have that Dr Earth 4-4-4 on clearance? LOL I haven't had any luck so far this year finding any deep discounted fertilizers, but Tractor Supply had Dr Earth Bone Meal discounted, and I had a 20% off coupon on top of that, so I grabbed those.
Well time to regroup. Looking forward to your fall growth.
Happy gardening.
Blessings.
Good job Broke on getting your garden together.
Words of wisdom Broke because the future holds a multitude of endless Possibilities. Thanks for sharing
Yes the frost nuked my garden..worst part is its warm again..could've grew food but nope..all was dead dead
Frost came early everywhere apparently. Those peppers tho… ❤️🔥
Keep it moving! NEXT!
Wow, that’s amazing to see to many fruits still on the plants and a Freeze. Here in CT 6B growth slows down before the frost. Don’t throw those tomatoes out. Wash them and Roast them with salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar for a nice sauce. Sorry about your loss. 💜💜💜 AuntieEllen
I can't stand cold weather 😤…….great informative video thanks for sharing 🌱
I barely escaped the frost, in zone 8b. Thanks for sharing!
Broke I am also madd you forgot the tomatoes. I am in zone 7B. I have been also preparing for my 1 st freeze. Thinking about doing some experiments this winter. Of course saving my most amazing plants. Bottom line I need a Large green house in my garden. I want to grow year round. It’s a challenge, but it’s a challenge I accept. Thinking about doing the utube just to join the gardening discussion and share my success and failures as a learning tool. Well, my hands are full with working full time and wishing I was in the garden full time. So I will master this part of my life and keep watching you experts on the tube. Blessings I thank you for your post🙏🏽💚
