Nasturtiums are such a lovely easy to grow, you literally do nothing, plant. It make a great filler for unsightly areas and it’s completely edible and very good for you.
PLANT SPOTLIGHT – Nasturtiums! I love growing these beautiful edible flowers and adding them to salads. Both their leaves and flowers are edible and rich in antioxidants and other nutrients, including vitamin C. Nasturtium seeds can also be combined with vinegar and spices to make a tangy condiment, which is similar to capers.
The flowers can be cream, orange, red and yellow and they attract bees and other pollinators to the garden. Their scent also works to repel pests. Although nasturtiums are annuals in our climate, they do reseed themselves easily.
