I guarantee you is her voice, is very difficult to recognize that she's awesome, she is so much better than many of your students.

I'm glad you point out what processing sounds like. It's easy to be discouraged learning because nobody sounds like that naturally.
Today it's normal to use lots of plugins like eq, compression, subtle and tasteful saturation, air and body tonality tweaking, delays, reverb, most likely some autotune (I.e at 10:02 to 10:03 you can hear autotune very noticeably) and or melodyne ++.
Please don't get me wrong I love the voice and she's a great singer for her age. She will become truly magnificent over time for sure.
And who exactly are you and why haven't I am never heard about you in my 62 years upon this Earth and you're going to sit here and try to tell me that she's this and that and she ain't this and she ain't that buddy who are you?? My mother and father was introduced to one another by professional musician 80 to 90% of my friends are musicians and you have a knack for running your mouth but the question Still Remains who are you where is your Fame??
Lanie Gardner has been sign by republic. She opened for the Jonas Brothers. She created her own company.
Of course she sings amazing live but when it comes to recording everything changes. She is an excellent singer but the system that she has it's like a sensor it's so perfectly adjusted. That system that everybody has when they record music that's what makes you buy their music. The only person in the world that I believe that never needed this type of system was Whitney Houston 😆
She has proven she did this in one take and yes the high quality mics & reverb . But high lows were from backing off the mic. There is plenty of 1 to 2 min. clips of non use of compression and devices on her site. Sitting down her voice and guitar. Not much change.
Everyone who's offended for someone they don't even know is hilarious. He wasn't being negative, malice or mean in any way. He did a critique on her video with some very good advice and positive criticism 🤷🏻♂️

This was confirmed by Lanie this is a live performance with just some compression and reverb obviously, she just sounds that good.
Honestly after watching you nit pick this song, maybe you should just appreciate how good someone sounds with very little added to the live performance. You have a very condescending way about how you talk about this, sounds like you think you could do better. No offense but thats how this comes off to me, go get a viral song with over 30 million views.

after hearing your comments it shows you are far far les talented than Lanie. Sometimes you just need to accept talent for what it is and just keep your thoughts to yourself. The crap you were comming out with in my view was simply rediculous.

When I first heard this I thought she was lip syncing right away.
She had 25 record companies reach out to her because of this video. The Jonas Brother's dad became her agent, and signed her to their label. She did a song with David Guetta that went worldwide. Pretty sure she doesn't need much overwrought advice.
Definitely not 100% live and with processing. Still nice to listen too.
