WASHINGTON PARK ARBORETUM AND SEATTLE JAPANESE GARDEN

The Arboretum is a welcome oasis on the shores of Lake Washington. Jointly managed by the University of Washington Botanic Gardens and the City of Seattle, its 230 acres contain a dynamic assortment of plants, some found nowhere else in the Northwest.

The Seattle Japanese Garden is located within the Washington Park Arboretum, this is a 3 1/2 acre formal garden designed and constructed under the supervision of world-renowned Japanese garden designer Juki Iida in 1960.
