Thrift Store Fall Makeover: BEFORE and AFTER

I love a good thrift store makeover. Especially when it’s a fall centerpiece before and after that transforms some thing that looks tacky and cheap to me into something that looks elegant and expensive. Tell me if you agree. And make sure to answer the question of the day. Do you like it more simple and elegant without the additional pumpkins and gourds, or do you like it more decked out and colorful?

  1. I just LOVE the whole ball of wax! Very Halloween-inspired–"the "dead" becoming "alive" with your creative touch! Did you paint the leaves black first, then add the gold? Just the right touch, Linda! Glad you're feeling a bit perkier!

  2. Love this video and the new intro. I was so impressed as usual with what you did, before you even added the pumpkins etc. love how u show us how to “change up” things inside!

  3. Think the pinkish pumpkin iS called Cinderella…just very elegant gorgeous arrangement!!! 👍 Stewart you also are a CREATIVE GENUS WITH THE TECH STUFF👍

  4. I love watching you and hearing Stewart! It’s so fun. I wish I could snoop in your house LOL! It’s so my style

  5. Wow! Reminds me of a Carravaggio painting. Can't believe you created a masterpiece from that tacky wreath. Love the monochromatic look.

  6. Linda you look amazing, such a beautiful woman! Very good ideal thrift shopping for fall decor, love your ideals.

  7. I just loved when you said it looks like something you should be getting rid of, instead of bringing home. Also, "cheesy berries".🤣

  8. I love the fishing one. I've known about it since before…I don't know what update, but it's one I always enjoy abusing. Also worth noting; the item comes from the location of the bobber. If you reel in when the bobber is behind a block, your item just appears underwater and floats up like dropped loot. It's surreal to see a raw cod or raw salmon float up from underwater. =O:)

  9. Beautiful new intro! Question of the day…For many years i was a decorator for a major department store chain. My boss would say, just when you think you are finished decorating, add more! It really did make an impact, especially for Christmas. So now in my home, ONLY at Christmas, i still abide by that rule.

  10. I do love the new intro.. very fitting for your style. And the leaves add such fall dimension. The leaf color is perfect. I may have to try and spray a few. Also , the Dollar Store has a little fall leaf garland… very sparse, that I could see painted this way. And at a dollar, if it doesn't turn out , its no big deal. I love looking at things as what they could be.. not what they are. Thanks for the inspiration.

  11. Yay I love these kinds of video!!! Thrift stores are the BEST! You did a great job Linda! 🧡❤️💜💙💚 my whole garden is made up of thrift store treasures and yard sale finds! Thank you for sharing your experience today!

  12. So gold pumpkins and vines are not tacky, but leaves that look natural are. 🤔

  13. I love it! I don't know how many times I've been sorry when I've passed up something at a thrift store, then seen some high-priced item somewhere else. Wreaths, etc. are a great example – prices at Hobby Lobby or Michael's for individual items and be as much as a whole piece at a thrift store.

  14. I love this, I love the negative space and a lot of stuff, I have a hard time stopping, I think I am a maximalist.

  15. I love the way the center piece turned out, it screams autumn cozy!!! You did a wonderful job of transforming it into something beautiful, thank you for the inspiration. 🍂🍁🍂

  16. Hi Linda and Stewart
I remember that thrift show trip and what you planned to do. It came out just beautiful. I like more in fall bc as you said it’s the season of abundance. Really beautiful and professional looking centerpiece for that lovely table. Nice work ! Looking forward to more seasonal decor ideas! 🍁🍂🎃🎃Happy Halloween!👻🎃 tomorrow everyone!

  17. The new intro is gorgeous, great job Stewart! Lind I love the demo and refurb of the wreath, turned out beautiful! The three topiaries (sage green) could you show and talk a little about those? Thank you!
