World War 2 Memorial Japanese Garden in the Philippines

This video is about JapaneseGarden. Lush, serene park featuring memorials for Japanese soldiers who died during WWII, plus a playground.
The Japanese Garden along Lake Caliraya in Lumban, Laguna is a memorial park built in 1970s by the Japanese government in order to commemorate the Japanese soldiers who died during the Second World War. According to some locals and legends, it is also the burial site of General Yamashita of Yamashita treasure fame. The garden was built as a memorial and a symbol of friendship of the Japanese to the Filipinos.

An altar/shrine (made up of marble) located at an elevated portion of the garden is usually visited by the Japanese to offer prayers and gifts to the spirits of the dead soldiers.

The Japanese Garden may be a memorial park but it’s open to the public with an entrance fee of P20 per person. The fee will be used for cleaning and maintaining the garden.
Japanese Garden is a perfect getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. It is also a great picnic spot for families and enjoy the weekends. There are cottages (no rental fees) and you can bring food but be sure not to leave your trash. There are also restrooms and small store. The garden is also a perfect venue for prenuptial photo shoot.
