    Conifers, especially the dwarf ones, can add an Asian note to a garden and contribute winter interest at the same time. Probably not a coincidence.

    Love these guys! Looking forward to ordering from them. You say ‘gold’ or ‘yellow,’. I say ‘“chartreuse.” The lesson of yellow tones in the shade garden, I learned from a great landscape architect who built it into a landscape plan for me to discover. Love the purple foliage too, but it really does disappear into the landscape. Great content!!

    I get what you say about hanging out and talking about plants. My sister and I went on a vacation and the checkout person invited us to go see her dahlia garden. I said, "How did she know we are garden addicts? Does it show??" Thanks for all you do. And love Mr Maple guys.

    I need to remember these guys next year! I'm working on beefing up my evergreens – I find my favorite landscapes no matter the season are evergreen heavy but I haven't focused much on that until this year.

    Thank you for giving some ideas for different conifers. I'm always envious when I travel to another climate and see all of the different conifers they can grow, especially the blue ones. I would love to see a comparison of Baby Blue Ice and Snow Angel because I am very interested in ordering one of those (if not both). Zone 7B, North MS. Have you been to Gibbs Gardens just north of Atlanta? They have recently added a dwarf conifer collection that I'm interested in seeing.

    Always enjoyed what I got in from the MrMaple folks, and appreciate your bounding insight into landscaping Jim. I really need to up my conifer game here, having just about nothing of great interest in terms of evergreens. Think it's about time I dip my feet in and see what I can do for non-dormant winter interest.
