Those are mostly small planes that crash.. not a jumbo passenger jet…your more likely to get eating by a shark and get struck by lighting at the same time then getting in a plane crash.. just trying to think how many planes are flying every day 24 seven and up in the sky.. The Dollar to Euro is basically 1=1. Soooo, yea. The thing I thank people tend to forget is whenever you fly or whatever you fly there are still regulations and laws that come with that. Its not going to be like 5th Element. Am I the only one worried about how people have trouble driving a car…let alone flying a car. kinda nervous about that part. Would be really nice though if it works half as well as we imagine it.
The only 2 passenger jets to crash in the last 20 years (?), were the usually incredibly safe 737's, that this time were their New 737 Max, even though not marked that.
Even the Pilots didn't know about this new system! No 737's had never crashed in history. But they had to fix it with a program that "Self Flies" The Jet, in case the Pilots can't fly for some reason (probably actually for self flying planes in the future, like all other things that move people).
These "Self Flying" programs decided the Pilots couldn't fly, took control away from the Pilots (who didn't know what was going on!), and crashed these 2-737 Max's, killing several hundred altogether!
10,000-100,000+ flights fly a day, and we've really only had those two big crashes, that were from Jets not being flown anymore.
Flying is safer than ever, and probably safer than eating a meal (more die from choking on food each year by 100X or more). It's probably safer flying than just sitting on your couch/sleeping..? More die this way, as well.
Nowadays, Flying for travel may be safer than breathing in our atmosphere? Again, more die from that!
Four jet engines..? It'll fly with one. Incredible safety! I can't think of anything safer! I understand though. It still makes me nervous, but I try to keep relaxed, and always remember how extremely safe flying is!

Sorry L. I am not afraid of flying. I have flown across oceans, mountains, etc. But right now, you could have a pilot who was injected, fly on minimum fuel or get to where you were going and find out the fuel is not available to get you home. Circling the airport will be touch and go as fuel continues to dwindle.
