  1. If that's city water,  I'd let it set for a day to out-gas the chlorine to keep from killing the micro organisms.  In my opinion, those tomato cages are real flimsy junk.  The first high wind storm, and your tomatoes will be on the ground with bent up cages.  Tomatoes grow much bigger than those cages too.

  2. Over here in Cali I'm getting ready for my three sisters garden, basically my Autumn garden. Beans corn pumpkin and sunflowers. I'll have posts on it soon if you'd like to see. 😊

  3. Are those heirloom varieties?

When I transplant seedlings I place a B Complex vitamin in a gallon of water and allow the vitamin to dissolve, and use this to water the transplants because it helps prevent shock.

I also use thin copper wire around vegetables planters which keeps slugs and snails at bay.  And in the rest of the garden I use saucers of cheap generic beer.

You can also take two pallets and make a upside down V shape trellis for tomatoes, peas etc.

  4. Thanks for sharing your garden. Just planted my herbs and tomatoes yesterday.
I use to plant a full garden but getting too old 🙂

  5. I liked the little Nicolas Cage song and the notion of making the plants feel comfortable because they're probably really scared because they're not used to being in the soil. 😛 Indy did an excellent job keeping an eye out for zombies so Jon could focus on the garden.

  6. You should consider making a video on fitness, how you approach it as a vegan. (This comment was inspired by that tight ass t-shirt you are wearing…hot damn…suddenly I'm craving a Field Roast Frankfurter.)

  7. tomatoes are one of the only veg/fruit that can be planted deeper. if a tomato is very leggy or stretched don't be afraid to plant it a couple of inches deeper, new lateral roots will form from the buried stem

  8. I'm planning on starting my first garden this year so this was super handy! Thanks 🙂

  9. Thank you for posting. I'm starting the process of growing a garden. This video was very helpful.

  10. I on a apartment and I on a cherry plan which that I cannot grow outside my question is if you grow it inside where would be the best plase to grow it
