What a season from a wet start to record temperatures and overnight contrasting temperatures have played havoc with our fruit and vegetables, please leave a comment on how you cope with this and how you save rain water..

I've been using the Hozelock growbag systems for a few years now – brilliant, so I'm sure the planters will be just as good!

I prefer your guttering system over the hose lock skip find but waste not want not. Weather has been terrible

Great updates from the plot, Terry. Lot of work getting done and planned. You are getting a lot of rain. Hope it doesn't impact the Fall plants. Nice wicking boxes. Looking forward to seeing how those work out.

Great video Terry, i get really jealous of all the finds that you pick up from Pipes to Coco Coir, Wheelbarrows to Pallet Collars and now a Hozelock Tomato Growbag Planter. I have one of those you just place the spikes with the wicks into the planter and slam down a growbag onto the spikes and that's it, you give it a water and keep an eye on that wheel which will tell you that you are low on water and it needs topping up, which you can do with a watering can in the mouth near the wheel or clip on a hosepipe on the fitting, great little planter it's good for Tomatoes, Peppers and Cucumbers.
It's an idea for people who don't have allotments like me, but do grow stuff in their greenhouses (if they have one) and in their gardens.

It's great to have so many drums to contain and store all your rain in Terry. Hopefully you can get a few good days of dry weather to catch up on the jobs.
