  1. awesome content as always, even without Wendell's hot takes, unfortunately

  2. RE: bees; here in U.K. the monarch owns all the swans & is the head of state. You couldn’t hunt a swan without the Queen’s permission etc. Luckily swans don’t tend to run amok, but there’s no reason you couldn’t say your president owns all the bees. Would be quite funny if anyone anywhere who wanted to anything bee related had to write to the White House bee department.

  3. Re: airBnB; here in London the local regulations means that you can’t rent out the whole house for more than 91 days a year. Doubt it is policed much though. I’ve had a room on AirBnB for year: it’s still cheaper here but it’s got so much less chilled than it was. Gone are the days you’d just be staying in someone’s spare room & so are the really cheap rents. I regularly have people check in 5 to 10 hours late. Everything gets cleaned even if it’s clean. Also less than 5% of people read the ‘House Manual’ so I suspect you could get away with a camera quite easily. People don’t even look at the amenities. I regularly get asked for a hair drier. I have short hair. Amenities are pictures. Cameras probably are too. I think you’re also supposed to put a sign up too but I guarantee they won’t be read as I’ve tried signs for other stuff.

  4. I feel like the cost of fiber internet is artificially high. i plan on wiring my own fiber LAN, and it seems easier than crimping RJ45s, aligning t568a/b, realizing you should have gotten solid core cables, banging your head against a wall that you have to re-crimp for the 10th time.
Crimping fiber looks insanely easy, take off the shielding around the core, stick on the receiver, screw on the end. boom optics

  5. 36:33 most Point of Sale clients now are just thin clients / glorified browsers for webapps / website only POS systems

  6. Re: Congress Food: when the need for hot food was dropped in (U.K.) law the hospitals switched to vending machines. You used to be able to go any time of day and get an omelette or something. There’d often only be 1 thing & 1 (grumpy) person but they had to provide hot food to workers (this was before those heated chicken vending machines existed). Just put a room of vending machines for them.

  7. 27:00 Lithium batteries on a submarine is a big deal, because they're significantly more expensive and more dangerous than lead acid or other common more stable types of batteries. The benefit is greatly reduced weight and energy density, which is pretty huge considering the potential operational scope it would bring. Typically, a sub like this uses a diesel generator to charge its batteries on the surface, and use batteries underwater.

I'm curious to see where this goes, because there's only two reasons for submarines right now. Surveillance and MAD.

  8. If "democratic vote" leaves exactly half of the population unhappy, I guess maybe it shouldn't be taken at face value. Such outcome most likely means that both candidates are equally BAD, and/or the whole thing is pointless and your vote is irrelevant… Disclaimer – I've never voted in my life, so I don't claim to be an expert. I am just trying to reason here, rather than mindlessly conform to some external process.

  9. NICE AWES0ME KEEP_IT_UP! Western digital✨🎉✨🎉✨🎉🎉🎎🎭🎎🎭🎎🎭🎗🎗🎗🎗🎗🎗🎗🎑🎑🎑🎑🎑🎑🎑✨🎆🎆

  10. In Europe, it depends on the country. Here in Romania, we have 4 telecom providers, and 5 euros can get you unlimited data, voice and calls.

  11. The price increases ARE NOT inflation. They're CEOs pushing prices up for profits. Full stop.

Corporate profits wouldn't be at a record high if their expenses were going up in proportion…

  12. What's crazy about the high-speed internet for agricultural areas is the high-speed internet is intended to support farm automation technologies like autonomous tractors that rely on high quality internet connections.

  13. Yeah, not dead yet at least on Tuesday, is all we'll know. But just leave it up to Papa Elon to mess with us again.
Also, loved seeing Kreestuh's creative process in SuchArt! Would probably get up at 2AM to watch next time.

  14. People like Elon, Bezos, Trump etc. are the supervillains of our time/era.
And they say that a hero could save us

I'm not gonna stand here and wait ♬

  15. Make a video about making a DIY ring camera! I know there's an old one it could use an update! I think Ryan has hair

  16. There are almost daily riptide warnings in San Juan. A friend of mine nearly drowned last year getting caught in one.

  17. I don't care about being flagged for this I agree with Ryan all government is screwed up and needs reform neither side is the answer
