  1. Hello Emma, looks like you are on track to get winter plants in and clear others out. Yes you are inspiring folks to be busy preparing for next season now as there is nothing growing now anyway. I never grew a Uchiki Kuri before. I grew some this year. I had them on a twine climbing up along side the baby-boo and jack-b-little pumpkins. Today I am cooking the Uchiki Kuri by roasting and them blending into a soup. I saw Jessie on Plot 37 make a soup from them also this past couple weeks. So I am taking so much inspiration form You and the other channels I follow. Thank you for being here doing what you do because it does matter to a lot of folks.

  2. For your corn, the silk fiber should turn brown. You are doing so well… am impressed with your growth….

  3. You really need to get rid of those trees along the side. Ask permission from the allotment admin if you have to. Otherwise start hacking. You do not have enough constant sun on that plot for veggies that need a lot of sun such as corn

  4. Emma any beds you have and cleared for over wintering get them covered with card and weigh them down
Come spring get compost well.manure in then as possed to now as the nutrients wont as efficient S tossed to doi g in spring just before replanting out for the new growing season.
Also make a pallet composted for leads get the
Chopped as small as you can as this makes leaf mould which can can be added to compost when prep tour beds in spring this helps with the structure helps with drainage plus further down in your beds if you have clay soil this in turn helps a d over years you'll get a good medium for growing.
The plot looks as good as ever emma all the best and love your vids your so funny and a great person take care and look forward to the next vids as always.

  5. Sorry Emma I forgot to say in my previous comment your brussels clear the ground of any dead leaves ect and any yellowing leaves on the plant pull off

  6. Not been to my plot for a while and you’ve definitely inspired me to go and get some stuff done. Thanks Emma. 👍

  7. Thanks Emma, there’s some good advice. Your allotment looks lovely. I’ll do sprouts next year – yours are great. X

  8. Hello emma you might find labeling your plants to be helpful just to remind yourself for later in the growing season, label the date that you planted the seeds first too, your videos are all very cheerful, specially in this November dull time of year. Have you ever grown a crown prince pumpkin. What sweetcorn grows best in the UK climate.

  9. Emma don’t forget to plant some raspberry plants, they are a must in an allotment ❤

  10. Hiya Emma Thankyou for sharing enjoy eating your harvest! Blessings luv Ontario Canada 🐝🇨🇦

  11. Always fun catching up with you, Emma! That cauliflower is spectacular! and all the surprise stuff coming up too! thank you for your enthusiastic commentary!

  12. Hey Emms I know what you're growing in your poly, you whacked in Cauliflower, cabbages at the back, kohl Rabi in front of them I think and raddishes and lettuce at front …..See Sept pick n mix 🤗

  13. Definitely going to be growing some romanesco next year they look brilliant. I'm eager to start clearing some of the plot but it's been so mild everything is still growing, so reluctant to clear out crops that are still producing. Spend most the year hoping things will grow, now waiting for it to die off 😂

  14. I’m looking forward to having a good old clear out and fresh start for next year! Think I’ll be doing what you said and just picking a few jobs to do at a time!

  15. Emma I love your positively even when things don't turn out. You are inspiring me to get my allotment sorted after a less then fruitful year. I'm planning on getting some no dig raised beds in as it was the task of digging over our entirely untouched allotment that meant barely anything was done. Next year will be an improvement on last! Thank you ❤️❤️

  16. Great video, loved the walky-talky bit of plot tour! Your sprouts look wonderful and you've inspired me to try romanescu!

  17. I've learned recently that it's best to leave the roots of plants in the soil and cut plants off just above ground. A lot of nutrients are in the roots and by leaving the roots in the soil more nutrients stay insitu. I'm trialling this out this year😚😚🥦🥦
