My hometown the tiniest desert town (Saratoga Springs, Utah). I thought the #1 thing would be the actual hot springs we're named for near Utah lake, but according to TripAdvisor, it's Israel Canyon Trail. Learn something new everyday!

Lauren – Hayward Japanese garden is NICE , UC Berkeley has a Japanese Garden as part of the Botanical Gardens at UCB.
also an Honorable mention is the HAKONE Japanese Garden in San Jose/Saratoga , and there is a Japanese Resautant RINGER HUT in San Jose as well , worth a try for RAMEN.
Lauren – my Mother is from Japan , and in the Countryside people have a CARP pond near their homes , the feed the CARP kitchen scraps and SILK worms , when the silk is Harvested, the CARP really like Silkworms .
