Making an Impact with Hydrangeas & Butterfly Bushes | Gardening with Creekside

It may be late Fall, but it is the perfect time to add flowering shrubs to the berm so we will have loads of color next summer. Today I am planting two types of hydrangeas and a new butterfly bush which will make a big impact in this new garden.

  1. I love her❤❤❤❤❤🐾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐾❤️❤️❤️❤️🐾❤️❤️🐾🐾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  2. Good morning, Jenny ☕️Jerry did such a great job with the edger🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻 There’s nothing like a perfect edge. Brenna is such a good girl; she always stays near you. The burm is shaping up so nicely. What a fun project. Have a Blessed Day 😊

  3. Hi Jenny 🌺 welldone ,you planted very beautiful plants they will be amazing when they bloom .Have awonderful day

  4. It is so exciting indeed when you are putting in new beds! Once the plants start to go in magic happens. It brings so much joy and beauty something I never get tired of. So nice to watch your bed come together since the season is over for me. Thanks for sharing always excited to see what comes next❣️

  5. Bryanna is so cute and well trained. She is a great bonus to your videos. The plants are going to be a beautiful addition to the huge bed. I can hardly wait until spring to see everything starting to grow and bloom.

  6. Your hat matches your pinker butterfly bush, and watching Brenna again today she is just by your side loving that you’re making her shift to get her toy.

  7. Jenny do you have more of the Russian sage at the garden center? I need 3! Lol I can come Wednesday

  8. I think the Puffer fish hydrangea is perfect there! All of it is beautiful! Great design. Thank you for all the planting and pruning tips. I bought a couple of the pugster butterfly bushes this late summer. Since they are always going to be small I'm not sure how much to prune in early spring.

  9. You are going to enjoy this area so much next spring. Miss Bryanna always wants to make sure she’s the center of attention, your 4th child! 🥰❤️

  10. Thank you for all your information. We just put in a new flower bed, then 2 days later we got snow, ha.

  11. I want to create a mini version of this between my neighbors and me. I can only go about 3' deep with the bed as I get toward the side of the house though so seeing these smaller shrubs makes me really happy. I really love seeing what you put in the ground since we're in the same zone. BTW, your lipstick is beautiful. Do you happen to remember the brand/color you chose?

  12. Good morning Jenny. Seeing your puppy with you melts my heart she is so lovely and well-trained. The colors of her fur remind me of my puppy growing up. ❤❤❤❤

  13. Loving what you and Jerry are up to today with the berm. The crisp new edge sets of the bed beautifully. Would love to see some groupings of deep blue caryopteris, radiance abelia (from your nursery 😊) with their white sparkle, warm hues of kaleidoscope abelia, and even some intense deep pink dwarf crepe myrtles. I added these to my long border this year and am loving them. The abelia are so nice for winter interest. This winter the star of the garden will be winter berry hollies with their masses of brilliant red berries. After a neighbor saw mine and wanted a couple for her garden. We found her some fabulous females and a male online at Proven Winners. I have grown winter berries for several decades in different gardens and there is nothing like them for what beauty they add to NC gardens. I keep them up-limbed and train them into multi-stemmed small trees. Have you ever grown them? If not, i am sure you would love them in your berm garden. Thank you for another enjoyable video.
