After reading and learning about the Depp case, I’m still on the fence. I think the only people that know what happened is Depp and Heard, and I’ve given up on taking a side. However, I do think the visceral media response was disgusting and no one deserves any harassment for how they feel about the case.

Hi Jordan! Love your videos ❤ I agree with what you said regarding Amber, however, there is such a thing as mutual abuse. Usually one person will be more abusive than the other, or take turns, but it is a thing! I enjoy watching Dr. Honda’s @psychologyinseattle channel, he did some really good videos during the trial. I hope that Amber is doing well and able to relax now after all that mayhem.

I am an only child and with both of my parents working all the time, I felt really lonely growing up and always wished I had a sibling. Now I am a mom with 2 kids, I totally agree with you that only have 1 child is definitely much easier compare to having 2. I am lucky enough that both my parents and my in-laws are willing to help A LOT with babysitting. Or I wouldn’t have considered having a second child at all😅 And it also depends on how you feel after becoming a mom for the first time. Your instinct will tell you if you can handle a second one or not. At least that’s how i felt😂
As you mentioned 1 child parenting I should mention that I have 1 little girl and it is enough for me. I love more than anything and especially being her mother. However, I don’t see myself ever having more kids and that’s enough for me. Doesn’t make me any less of a mother

I’m also an absolute Ribena stan but until recently they didn’t sell it in Canada. We don’t really “do” blackcurrants here. But thank god the Chinese grocery store started carrying it so now I’m able to continue my Ribena fiend energy into 2023.

Regarding amber heard, I always believed her side of it from December 2018 when she came out with her story until the trial this year. I tend to believe all victims and thought, why would she lie. I would even refuse to watch any Johnny depp movie or support anything he was involved in.
Cut to this year, somehow I found myself, watching the ENTIRE trial. Yep, 6/7 hours a day, for 5/6 weeks (don’t judge me lol I listened it on 2x speed on the law and crime network, often on my way to and from work), and I have to admit, my mind changed completely. Do I now think Johnny depp is 100% innocent? No, and I think he was stupid to get into the relationship in the first place. But honestly all these people commenting having not watched the entire trial, I think you just do not have the context. The amount of people testifying, and NO they were not all on his payroll (is Kate moss on Johnny depp’s payroll?), some of them who were literally putting their job on the line to come and tell the truth in court (like the news reporter who proved that amber heard was lying about not sending and not editing the clips of Depp bashing cupboards). What I took away from the trial was that it was a very sad situation and depp obviously has massive demons, has struggled with substance abuse etc but it is undeniable that heard flat out lied about many of the instances of abuse (even changing her story between UK testimony and US trial), and there is third-party corroborating evidence which proves that she has lied in many cases. On the other hand depp has admitted to the instances where he has gone too far and his story has always remained consistent. But ultimately what he did was damage her property etc but there is no evidence that he ever physically abused amber, whereas there is literal proof that she hit him. Just because there isn’t evidence doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, he may well have done so and I don’t think this trial absolves him of all sins but at the least it shows that amber heard has lied multiple times, has lied in court, at the end of the day I don’t think if you haven’t seen the entire trial you can judge that she is completely innocent and it is dangerous to repeat that depp physically, sexually, emotionally abused her just because other people on social media have repeated this. As I say I really do tend to stand by believing all victims, I will always listen to all victims but at the end of the day we are also often more astute than we give ourselves credit for and we can tell when someone is acting and when someone is telling the truth, so I would urge anyone who is going to comment on this case to watch the trial and make their own mind up. Yes we want to support all victims but victims CAN be men as well, life is not black and white, imagine it was your dad/ boyfriend/ brother falsely accused of something like this, you would want people to listen to both sides, anyway sorry for such a long message I hope it doesn’t get misinterpreted I am not at all victim blaming and I usually tend to agree with the vast majority of your takes, just this one didn’t sit right with me, hope anyone reading this understands what I’m trying to say!
what doesn’t appeal to me about having kids is all the stuff around it, like dealing with school and whether to let them use social media and climate change and money and all that scary difficult shit, the actual child isn’t the problem for me

I mean this very respectfully, but I don’t think DARVO is why evidence was excluded in the UK vs the US. I believe it was because of who was being sued. Also did you watch the trial or just read about it?
Thank you for talking about Johnny Depp! I received so much backlash during the trial for saying I believed her, it was so triggering after my own DV experiences, and of course people are changing their minds now but part of me will never forgive my family and friends who said she was lying

Personally I find it nearly impossible to side with her when given all the information.
