Adding Some Sweetness to the Berm | Gardening with Creekside

Today we are adding some sweetness to the berm with Sweet Talker® fragrant viburnum and ‘Scentsation’ honeysuckle. These shrubs will bring us fragrant flowers for 3 seasons while adding vertical and horizontal interest to the garden.

  1. Is it possible to mention the complete Latin names also ? So we in Europe know also know what kind of plants , shrubs and trees you are planting..

  2. Good morning, Jenny ☕️ I have a Harlequin Variegated Honeysuckle Shrub. It doesn’t gow like a vine but it sure is a huge, beast of a plant. You can’t beat the scent though. Zone 6, Boston planted in full sun ☀️. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐶

  3. Is it ok to still be planting in zone 7b? Greencast says the 5 day average is 46 for soil temp. I want to plant some sunshine ligustrums

  4. I really like that black twine you're using – I need to try that – I've been using clear fish tubing from the pet store but I should compare prices and options – thanks for showing this 🙂

  5. Good morning Jenny!! I will keep the honeysuckle in mind. She can cover my chain link fences. I have to cover up my veggies at night here in 7b NC.

  6. It’s crazy to be talking about planting plants in this kind of season…. it’s hard to wrap my mind around doing this because I’ve always naturally only planted in the summertime sunshine season … wired

  7. The berm is really shaping up nicely! It's nice that we get to see its creation from start to finish. It's very helpful. I really like that sweet talker viburnum. Sounds like it would be a good screening shrub.

  8. The berm is going to really be a show stopper by summer next year. Your back yard island gardens were gorgeous this summer! It amazes me how many changes are happening at Creekside and Brenna is loving every second! Love the garden pets!! I have to watch several times to see everything and everyone. Happy Thanksgiving!

  9. Great video. Can hardly wait to see it grow and spread on the fence. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

  10. The plants you planted so beautiful I have them they will be amazing . Have awonderful day. 🌺🌻🌺

  11. Good morning Miss Sunshine…you always brighten my day. The viburnum and honeysuckle are great selections for your berm. I have two spots in my garden i have been holding until i find the right vines to plant. The honeysuckle seems to fit the bill. I just ordered them online so i can get them planted here in zone 7a. That will give the plants time to get established and ready for spring. So glad i watched you this morning. I have more tulips to plant today and some cleanup of a big clematis. Its sunny and lovely up here in Kernersville so another good day to spend in the garden. Best regards to you and Jerry.
