What We Are Doing Now That the Nursery Is Closed | Gardening with Creekside

The retail portion of Creekside Nursery may be closed for the 2022 season, but that certainly doesn’t mean that we are kicking up our heels and laying low until spring. Join me as I share with you what we are doing now that the nursery is closed. I promise we have lots of projects in the works!

  1. Oh my gosh Jenny, I was so happy to see your cute face on your channel this morning. Just a day or two without Jenny and Jerry is a day that causes me to drink a second cup of joe to sooth my gardening soul here in Cheyenne, WY. Happy Thanksgiving and be blessed throughout this most wonderful time of the year!

  2. So great to see I had a Jenny video this morning! I hope ya'll had a good Thanksgiving and time with family. It's very interesting to see what the nursery does in the off season. It's going to be nice and fresh come Springtime! I'm ready for the cool season but also excited for what's to come in the Spring!

  3. My Post thanksgiving blues here lifted by this. And I also get to tour Montrose Gardens in Hillsboro NC today. The snowdrops are peaking and it should be stunning. See you in March.

  4. I'm curious to know how you will stain all the tables during winter. Will you move tables indoors?

  5. Just WOW Jenny everything is going to look amazing come spring. You guys never stop. Love seeing and hearing about what you and Jerry have going on for the future of Creek Side . Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. See you in the next video 🎄🤗🎄💓💞💕

  6. Nice. Busy Busy Busy. Interesting love it. Lots to do before spring. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us. Appreciated.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

  7. Great seeing you and Jerry, thanks for the tour. Hope you had great time with family. Great things to come.

  8. Love hearing the word “shipping” in your videos. I’m so excited we’ll have that option in the future. Proven Winners are scarce in our neck of the woods

  9. Great video can’t wait to start on the projects . Sitting here waiting on a deer to shoot . From the best nephew in the world

  10. So happy to see the behind the scenes videos… Jenny you and Jerry are amazing. Never a full moment when your closed.

  11. Good morning and a warm hello from south Georgia. Don't miss your videos 🌞

  12. I got it now, what to do with my shrubs/bushes still in pots that I didn't get planted. Thanks. (gonna group them all tightly together close up to the house facing the sun:12 green giants & 5 butterfly bushes, zone 7b-atlanta)

  13. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. You sure don’t let any grass grow under your feet! Already back to work:)

  14. Love your videos Jenny. It’s interesting to see how you run your nursery. Thanks Jenny and Jerry.

  15. Holy cow, you guys are going to have to absolutely bust it to get 1/2 of your list done! No "down" season for you!

  16. I am just so stinking happy to hear of your growth plans. Two very deserving people for success. You work so hard, it should pay off.
TY for addressing my question on overwintering your remaining shrub inventory. I'm sure MN growers have a different process due to our extremely cold winters (though today it may get up to upper 40s 🤞). A couple years ago, I bought a PW hydrangea where the pot showed evidence of being partially buried over winter. It's thriving in MY berm.
I have a couple glazed ceramic large containers I rolled to my shed every fall to prevent cracking. Now that I'm 66 and tired of the foolishness of trying to roll a heavy tapered pot in a straight line 😆 this year I just moved them a few inches inside my house from the deck (snow and all). We'll see. Maybe I'll put them to use decorated for the holidays w/ some evergreen sprays.

  17. Display gardens are so important because many people can't visualize how a plant would look in the landscape. Walking trails through your pines will encourage people who have trees that they can do wonderful things in shady areas!
