VIDEO DESCRIPTION:

Gael was forced into retirement and out of San Fransisco due to high rent and unrealistic living costs. She bought this tiny home with nowhere to park but knew it was the next chapter. Five months later, she was able to move into Tiny Tranquility and begin her new life in the tiny home community.

Her colorful house made of Metal and Cedar holds all kinds of artwork, some of hers and others from friends. There’s a functional kitchen with a large window and a small bathroom hosting a toilet, a shower, and a mini sink. She has two adored cats with their own “highway” above the living room leading to their loft area. Attached to the loft is even a kitty fenced in porch!

  1. Gael is quite the artist. She should open an Etsy shop to sell her art. I like how she changed the home to cedar and metal on the outside. She has really made the home work for her and her kitties. And what a beautiful setting she has for her home.

  2. LOVE LOVE LOVE ! ! smart and lovely and such well cared for cats! I will watch this again and again! so happy for you!

  3. Good Friday Evening
    Gail,

I've just seen your Tiny House video & loved on what you had done to it. I'm wondering on who had built it for you & the spot that you rent from please Gail for my own New Tiny Living House for myself !!! I think that; I've seen other videos in regards to other Tiny House Living on that same property in the past & been thinking of changing my life from a loft in Massachusetts to a new adventure in my older mature life style now Gail🙂. I could really use the help Gail & only if you don't mind as well your beautiful work too…..

  4. As others have said I really appreciate your artistry. You should have a website to sell an occasional piece. Love the windows. Seems I have to have them too. Kitties are so cute. We can see how much you love them. Re: dehumidifier….it is a shame the builder didn't include a ventilation system. It a must as tiny homes are prone to moisture build up and mold. The best builders include them as standard requirement. Good luck in your tiny home, enjoy your retirement!!

  5. That is one of the prettiest tinies I've seen. Love how well catered it is for the cats. The crystal collection is beautiful, the artwork is superb. Gael is an extremely talented artist in all the different mediums. Very clever stair solution also.

  6. Wow! you are a very talented artist. I was so amazed by your art work, I almost forgot to watch the lay out of your tiny home. Enyoy your retirement Gael.

  7. 15:45 She said, "I won a big package of an outside remodel". Did she actually get it for free or did she pay some money? If she paid any money, saying "You've won…" may have be a sales trick and she got tricked. Look out.

  8. I myself am getting ready to retire, and move from NC to Washington state to be near son and his family. This is EXACTLY my intentions! I even have the black cat!😊 I have been wondering for a long while how this can be done. TY for showing what my life will look like. My only question is the weather. How do y'all fare up there with the tiny homes and the unpredictable weather?

  9. The design, the deco, the artwork, it's all lovely! Your attention to detail and finding a way to fit all the the things you need & the things you enjoy in a smaller space is very well done! This was a really nice tour!

  10. Better watch those eagles. We had an owl grab up a wiener dog and fly over 20 miles with it, dropped it in the middle of a 2 lane highway several towns away. Those eagles can carry much more than a 15lb dog. Cats are a snack. I would never let my cats out with predators like that around.

  11. Very well done beloved tiny house neighbor! Congrats on winning the upgrade, love it, as well as your modified steps. Love your art, and of course, your rocks, crystals, hearts & other teeny tiny tchotchkes. 🥰👏🏼❤

  12. Your home is delightfully quirky. I also love the way you clearly dote on Cinder and Ella. Your catio is just lovely as well.
Really, I only have one suggestion. I would swap out the fencing in the catio for something with smaller openings. Maybe hardware cloth instead? I would just hate uninvited creatures (i.e squirrels) to get in there and disturb your peace.
I love your vibe. Take care and be safe.

  13. The unrealistic cost of housing is scary. Looks like she found a beautiful alternative.

  14. I enjoyed the tour of your sweet home! I liked how you arranged things and kept many of your special collections. Your attitude on life is wonderful! I oved your kitties too! The colors inside and out look beautiful. I loved your art as well. I'm glad you are having fun living in your tiny home. 🌸🌱🌷

  15. Your artwork is fantastic. You are so very talented. What a lovely home you have and in such a great development. Thank you for the tour.

  16. Beautiful home, thank you for showing it. Your cats are adorable! I love everything about your place, but I'm not liking the green paint on half of the tiny home's exterior. Just my own preference I'm sure you're enjoying your beautiful outdoor space! Thanks again, I wish you and your fur babies all the best in your new abode! 😻💞✌
