I appreciate yalls channel. I have a Magnolia soulangeana in a pot that's maybe a couple inches wider than the pot in the video. It's mulched and has a proprietary magnolia/ azaelea specific soilI haven't watered in about 2 weeks but the soil is still damp; I have fungus gnats! How do I get rid of them with this cold weather making it harder to dry out the pots ??
Thriller, spiller, filler… great way to remember, thank you! 🪴
Who knew there was a difference in what type of soil you used for summer and winter pots? Jim and Stephanie! Thanks for all the valuable information you provide!🌼🐝
Did you just take a jab at Laura? 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄💚🙃
Thank you Jim and Stephany 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄💚🙃

Jim…why didn't you include the old soil and just amend it?
I really like the great info you share. I'm planning a hedge on my property line and have learned a lot from you on that topic. My question is how do you combat fire ants?
Thank you. Do you have a link or description for the round gray containers you are using here?
Very helpful. Rabbits got my swiss chard, too.
Every time I plant a container I'm thinking "filler, spiller and thriller" thanks to watching Jim all these years.
I wish I had a vision for design like both of you do. The thought that goes into those containers is impressive.
Thank you for continuing to provide actual knowledge that is useable for all gardeners!
Thanks for information and inspiration. Having a small lot and a huge plant addiction/collection🤩 I appreciate being able to plant in containers that I can put all over the yard. When plants get too big I can share the plants with friends and get new ones for me🙂
Beautiful 😍 pots and flowers 💐 happy ❤️ and happy 😊, spirits at work. 👋 hi Jim putnam and Stephany. Inspiring for all gardeners. Hi all gardening friends let go plants 🪴 flowers in the the pots 🙏thanks Jim and Stephany ❤️
Stephany, I love ❤️ the colors and textures that you put together for the pots. As you know I have a lot of pots to do, fun, fun 😄. I love planting flowers in pots .thank you Jim and Stephany 🙏💛
I watch Gardeners World and there is talk about horticultural grit. Is that available here or are your offered options for drainage an acceptable alternative?
Steph is a pleasure to listen to and learn from. What a great duo you are, thank you for your creativity, knowledge and efforts to help us wanting to be better gardeners.
At 15:48 loved seeing the little critter run past.
This year, containers of every sort, especially large containers, were super expensive. I solved the problem of potting a beautiful My Monet purple weigela by purchasing a galvanized bushel basket by Behrens and drilling some drainage holes in the bottom. I got mine on sale for about $17, they're usually closer to $25. It is attractive, winter-proof, and much more reasonably priced than the ceramic/fiberglass/polyresin pots I've seen for $70 and up.
Nice job Stef! 👏
