We're Designing A NEW Kitchen Style Garden | Part 2

As many of you know, we are planning our first ever “Potager/Kitchen” Garden. Potager gardens are a traditional “french style” type of garden that incorporates herbs, vegetables, ornamental plants, flowers, and much more! After getting advice on a design in our previous video, we officially started gathering the essential focal pieces needed. Be sure to check out the first video and join us on this journey! Let’s Grow Together!

  1. Hi from Stan and Anita Baldwin Huntsville Al.
Old Goat is on 3 rd shelf behind Greg's head in the corn.

  2. I live in Vermont now. My son was born in Franklin. I have many family members there. Also know where there is a sweet little Air B and B I can recommend. Brand new 🙂

  3. Mr Hoss reminds me so much of my husband. He'd build me anything I wanted. And help me in any way I needed. God took him in May of 2020. My garden is where I do my praying. Totally get the sitting place.

  4. Last time I was there to get my corn seed I saw Mr John painting a door 🚪
So I can't wait to see the garden.

  5. Franklin was one of my husband's and mine favorite places to go. Went for Scottish festival and couple other times a year. Great antiques and consignment stores. Dillsboro not far with great BBQ. Stopped at Culpeppers on our way back .

  6. I can't wait to see how the garden progresses. Old goat is in the plate of corn on shelf behind Greg.

  7. I grew up going to Franklin quite often with my Grandma & Grandpa. They had property and a house up there. It was so beautiful. I miss it every day and wish I could go back. Thank you for the beautiful photos. Also, Old Goat's ears are poking up out of the bowl of corn behind Greg's head!

  8. I’m so excited to see this come together. I love my little garden and try to add things to make it a pleasant place to be. Y’all will enjoy your sitting area. Looking forward to future videos on the potager garden.👩‍🌾♥️

  9. Awesome! Aw, I'm so glad Mrs. Hoss' wishes care coming true. Relax and Reminisce over a cup of coffee in your soon to be beautiful Kitchen Garden. Create an agenda or scrapbook of your adventure up to the completion. Then share with us. I can't wait. Love you guys.

  10. outside retreat space sounds lovely; special seating area could be called a vignette; I mean you said in the French style so vignette is a perfect description for it! I tuck them in all over our property- little vignette seating areas usually just a couple of bistro chairs & a small table.

  11. Gene and I went to a permaculture farm once and they had a love circle where everyone gathered each night to share their feelings about each other
    😂😂😂😂
You should definitely call it the love room😉

  12. I actually know where Otto is, 😊 but never been to Culpepper's. Looks like my kind of place. I've spent a lot of time in those mountains around Franklin, Cashiers, Murphy, Nantahala, etc. running river trips, backpacking, and rock climbing. Looking forward to seeing this project progress!

  13. What a great idea, I know ya'll are going to spend many peaceful moments in the garden. Old goat is loving the corn, peekaboo!!

  14. I have found several old chandeliers out by trash cans on garbage days. I took them and put solar lights on them where the light bulbs go, and hung them from tree limbs in my back yard. I love them! Adds light and a feature for my garden area! Can't wait to see your progress. Goats in the corn, do da do da!
