Yet Another Potato 🥔 & Broccoli 🥦 Harvest!

It’s the penultimate (second to last) day of November, so I thought I’d see how my second batch of potatoes did (spoiler alert!: Fantastically! 🤩) I also did an early, first harvest of broccoli since the warm weather caused one head to bolt. It’s okay; the blossoms are edible. Plus, more dried fruits: this time, mikan oranges & more persimmons. 😋🤩👍🏾

Good day everyone! I’ve received a few messages recently that some of you haven’t been receiving notifications of my posts. I’ve spoken to YouTube Creator Support and they’ve provided some solutions:

Problems with notifications? The common reasons why a subscriber will not receive notifications.
1. They are not actually subscribed to your channel, but are confused by “Recommended video” notifications.
2. Their bell icon setting is set to “personalized” rather than “all” notifications. This resets if they unsubscribe and resubscribe.
3. Their greater YouTube notification settings are set to “None” for channel notifications.
4. They aren’t logged in.
5. Their device level notification settings are overriding their YouTube settings
Another reasons viewers may not be receiving notifications.
1. They already received the maximum number of notifications from your channel that day.

Thanks for your patience and continued support. It means a lot to me.

  1. I'd expected you to pull a lot more red potatoes out of there, but your others made up for it. Our potatoes never flowered this year, so we got containers full of stalks and beautiful leaves.😄We love adding green tomatoes to our stir fry recipes. Those persimmons look delicious!

  2. Wow, the leaves on the Japanese Maple were full of stunning colors! Very nice. So many delicious snacks you have made, and garden fresh potatoes and broccoli! Robert, you are definitely eating good in the neighborhood, as they say here! ha Have a great day! Cheers!

  3. An idea for a future video, you'd make a bento box during a live stream. Where the viewer gets to pick the ingredients, for example, you'd have 3 types of rice and people would have a limited amount of time to vote on which one you used and the same would go for the vegetables, fish, poultry, or meats for your box. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  4. What a fun episode, Robert! I can see how you said you had a good time making it! The idea of growing your own food is so satisfying… While we know that it's quite economical to purchase potatoes, homegrown are always psychologically better! As always, it's a pleasure to look into your life from afar. Your professionalism shows in your productions. A treat for the senses! Thanks so much, friend Robert! You help to make life more complete! (And you made me look up a word… "penultimate" or next-to-the-last) 🙂

  5. You had a nice harvest and a few surprises. I am going to try dehydrating some persimmons. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day

  6. Good day Robert!🌄😊 What a lovely harvest! Your broccoli plants are beautiful. Phosphorus is great for potatoes if you have access to it. I also used worm castings last year and loved the results. A great alternative to manure for small gardens.

Thank you for the update with the dehydrator and fruit! Wow! I think part of the reason your oranges turned out so nice, is the heat source is on the bottom of your dehydrator. (compared to my attempt😳) When I bought my new dehydrator with the heat source on top(never again), it was quite a learning curve compared to my old one like yours. It is not uncommon for very ripe and higher sugar content fruit or veggies to go dark when dried. I had some tomatoes do the same. Also, rotating the dehydrator shelves during drying helps a lot too. Have been dehydrating for 3 years here and am still learning. Have you watched Heidi @ Rain Country on YT? She has ALOT of dehydrating videos if you are interested. Very nice lady!

    That Japanese Maple was GLORIOUS!!!

Canning and making Cranberry juice and relish for the first time here this week. The juice is soooo pretty in the jars! A bright pinkish red. Blessings to you from Minnesota! 😇🙏😊😇🍁🍂☃ Can you and all of my friends here pray for me today? Going to see the doctor for my heart, seems CV did a number on it and it has become enlarged. Hopefully get some answers. Thankyou all!

  7. Greetings Robert, nice video and enjoyed seeing the drying processes. I can a lot and did dehydrate but gave away my dehydrators when I came to Finland.
