The only reason they were able to beat Rommel is because they were listening to his communications you would be amazed what you can do when you know what the enemies is doing

Also a flood of sherman tanks. Quantity beats quality in the desert.
Charlton Heston!
I just absolutely to my core love the British. With the stakes what they were, using every single advantage, fair or unfair to win and it worked. Instead of just fighting a war of aggression and attraction, they went at it from an espionage way and it made the difference.
they drove him into the sea in Tunisia and Egypt
I like the narration
the general was very smart
Like Patton, he outran his supply line. So did the Nazis at the battle of the bulge. In both instances, they hoped to capture the supplies that they needed, especially fuel. Patton had the vast supply material of the USA, Rommel in North Africa and the generals in the Ardennes offensive did not. Britain came within 2 weeks of collapse from no fuel due to the U-boats cutting the Atlantic supply line from North America. Currently, Ukraine’s biggest worry is supply of everything.
It's sad that the guy that broke the enigma machine was disowned, belittled and betrayed by the very same British he helped save. All bc he was homosexual, and ended up commiting suicide. That man invented the first computer pretty much in the 1940's. He was cast aside by the very people he vowed to protect. God bless Alan Turing, and his brilliance. The Turing machine helped stop U boats from attacking convoys coming across the Atlantic to supply Britain. Not to mention helped with stopping Rommel. Sexual orientation shouldn't have mattered when the man single handedly help win the war.
Rommel was also under supplied, and was low on fuel.
Love him or hate him.. Charlton Heston narrates very well
